is it possible to cahnge my stock subwoofer in my lexus ls400 1996 model with this 8" subwoofer http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...mMakeTrack=true if i can change them out exactly how would i do it and what would i need to do and would this affect the sound quality from my speakers. would appreciate it if a audio expert could help me out thank you

ebay is a good site i bougt the full set on ebay and it happened to be near me about 20 miles away so i went and picked them up to see the quality and if they all matched and they fit perfectly but i used wax on them once and they wore right of, but the guy i bougt them from was nice enough to exchange mine out and told me that using wax on them wore them out fast but if u would like the link i can get it for you i believe it was $100 for the front hood badge, the Ls400, the back L, and the Lexus all of these were in gold

im going to give me ls400 1996 model to son when he gets his license in dec and hes been looking at upgrades and already bougt a wood grain wheel and now wants to upgrade his stereo system but he doesnt want to get rid of the headunit because it looks really nice with the rest of the equipment but he wants to get a bigger subwoofer and is looking at something near 10-12" by audiobahn and wants to kno if he can change out the current 8" pioneer for the audiobahn or would he have to change out the head unit along with amp and cd cahnger to get the subs in the car??? thank you to anyone who can help us out if he can use the sub and keep the head unit is it possible to place the sub where the current sub is??

96 Ls400 Pioneer CD changer problem well my battery on my lex has been dieing on me for no apperant reason lately and im gettin it check tomorrow (jan 8) but latey my cd cahnger has been working fine until today when i got in and it just quit on me i charged my battery a day or two ago and it worked fine after i charged it then the battery died again and when i recharged it in the morning the cd changed quit on me it has done this before but i didnt care and kept going and it came back but its gone again.......any ideas on the problem because it could not be my head unit because it works fine and i bougt a new one about 3-4 months ago for a hefty 1k or so from the lexus dealer (yes i kno i got ripped off lol) and the cd changer appears to be recieving power because the eject button lights up but when i press cd or eject nothing happens PLEASE HELP ME

k well im back again with another question ahve any of you ever installed screens in the LS400 95-97 becuase i have found a good deal on the ALPINE TEM-M580 http://iweb.alpine-usa.com/pls/admn/item_i...gory=&p_main=30 im going to get 2 screens one for eac headrest but the only problem i can think of is not if they will fit but how do i get the head rests off since they are power headrests and not the kind that pop right off so does anyone here know how to take the headrests off

im pretty sure a 98-00 model can if u find the right color wood and leather but ls430 knobs wont fit because there smaller then the older models

lol i wish i had known there wre lexus shocks at autozone because whenever i had asked the guy at pepboy or autozone theyd gimme a look like i was crazy asking them somehting for a lexus lol so i spent around 230 or so on the OEM shocks there not hard to install my 14 year old son did it for me he does most of the work on my cars due to the fact im so busy amaisingly he took apart the lexus radio and figured out how to remove it and everythin i was kind of surprised he even got it to worked and changed the bulbs in it because they had blown out

well that doesnt sound to good considering all the wiring the lexus car have and there all wrapped with liek 8 inches of padding literally so how would i find the shortage

uh o thats not good becuase the dents arnt right on the crease well its kind of hard to explain so heres a pic http://carad.ebayimg.com/i15/01/a/02/c7/6a/36_4.JPG the dents are exactly 2-3 inches to the left from the bottome of the antenna and VMF i think it might be the humidity because lately its been hot here and alot of raining and i keep my garage open so it is probably the humidity

i have a 95-97 LS400 radio but the cd changer button does not seem to work but that shouldnt mater since u dont have a cd changer and the lights in the radio had burnt out for some reason so i removed them but everything else works so if your interested tell me and make sour it will fit because i am not sure of that

well lately i havnt been driving my lexus alot due to the fact i have 3 cars lol so im thinking about selling it i bougt it last year around this time for 11,000 and it had 110,000 miles on it and now my 1996 lexus LS400 black exterior with beige leather has 111,000 miles on it and is in excelent condition there is nothing wrong with the enterior everyhting works like it should i change the emblems to new gold OEM emblems and a few more MODs wheels are in good condition all of them match and are all michelens might be Z rated but there is a light key mark which i used touch up paint on so its not noticible and i have 3 small dents 1 about the size of a quarter and 2 the size of a dime (probably smaller for the quarter) other then that my car is flaueless i have poeple thinking its a 2003 model car since i got it last year B) so about how much should i expect to get for my car because im not going to sell it to a dealer thas a waist but i think this might be worth selling now since i am waiting to get my money for the accident i was inovled in which ruined my old 96 LS on the day i got it some bad luck ay but i should get enough for a 05 LS430 they already gave me 20k for the car damage when the car value was 13k :D any thoughts

SWO how much do you think it would cost to get the dents taken out

lately people at work have been real jealous of my lexus <_< so no theres a 4-5 inch key mark on the passenger fender and 3 dents on the driver quarter panels :cries: so ive garaged my lexus lately and been afraid to drive around untill i get a heat sensative alarm or touch sensative but for some reason if i leave my car in the garage for about 3-4 days the battery goes dead i change the battery 3 times and its startin to make me amd buying a battery each time i even tried recharging the battery but that only last about a day or two when parked in the garage any thoughts in why this is happening because im clueless the dents are on the back quarter panels to the right of the driver side passenger doar any thoughts in how i can pop them out without going to a professional who will charge me 500 for taking out some dents ( the car is onyx black so u cant see the dents unless the light hits it jsut right or if u stare) the dents are about 1 inch by one inch so they are not that big <_<
