what 98 rims?
any es rim will fit another ,as all Lexus have the same bolt pattern and hub bore as well as offsets of 40-45 on the LS models from 95 and up are specific.
Happy birthday , congrates , i will have my first in March as well.
Oh well time to say good by to your car now.
My wife is making me sell my civic as i won't part with either lexus.
I think it is the theft system not being properly recognised by the key and not shutting down to allow it to start. Usually if the keys are reprogrammed it will stop . Do you have any other car keys on the key chain ?
I would not worry by comparing it to MB's as they were a solid car but got caught in loss of sales and poor reliability by not getting better like other manufactures . Instead the rested on their laurels and it only got worse by adding new technologies to compound the reliability. I would still buy a analog or pre 98 MB as they are great.
The new Lexus vehicles are just as good if not better by always raising the bar and not cutting corners. No worrying needed.
d2 autosport will be able to set you up also.
It has a Mercedes bolt pattern and needs a x factor or a rim with high disk clearance for the brakes , all can be easily accommodated once asked.
Well if both sides go down equally it is going to be a line or valves. If it was a bad shock only one side would go down.
Find the leak then go from there.
On the Saturday 29th i am getting together some of the western NY lexus members and about 15 cars from the GTA first.

add some green slime from wal mart to the lines before the bags and it may stop it like it has for some.
Otherwise spray some soapy water to find your leak
It is not called a squib as that is what causes the airbag to go off or ignite it. Squibs are part of pyro technics or any explosive device as a trigger.
What he meant to tell you is it is the clock spring . It is a self contained unit with a flat coil of wire like a ribbon. As you turn the wheel it gets tight and the other way it gets loose. When it snaps any controls on the wheel go dead. Horn air bag and cruise control. It is located behind the wheel once it is off.
There is one person who was able to get an direct cable for his ipod by splicing his wiring to his cd changer and then adding a switch so when he plays a cd the audio comes from the ipod cable instead . I just use a tape adapter for mine if it keeps flicking on auto reverse get some silicone spray and spray the inside of the adapter as it is binding. It happened to me also until i did that and have had no problems for over a year since.
So the key turns but wont unlock the door latch?
Do you see any movement inside the door when you turn it such as the lock knob moving?
It may be someone tried to steal/tow the car and has bent the arm causing it to not move out of the locked position as well as re locking the passenger door as well.
Does the alarm beep still or unlock the trunk?
At what RPM did you check the voltage? under 800 rpms =12vdc any less and it is bad
Was the car at operating or starting temperature? if cold and it is not in the 13vdc range it is bad.
