  1. normal theroy says look at the starter or battery voltage but if you say the key angle changes it then get the cylinder looked at
  2. you would think synthetic but i have used it and have gotten a slipping tranny best bet just do regualr flushes and stick with normal fluid
  3. the dealer is simplest as i can;t remember the cr ???? something # how do you lose the battery as it is kept in by a screw?
  4. i wonder what the hell does I S in is 300 stand for inital sedan import sedan? i have no clue on that
  5. thanks for the translation for some of us north americans or atleast the ones who haven't gotten to go to the tokyo auto salon yet :( :( :( i wan to be there next year though
  6. yah it is true the t1-s do wear a bit faster but under regualr driving they last a while when not pushed to any limits i still say stay the hell away from fz4's not worth the price the kuhmo 712's are much cheaper and a way better tire only problem i really had was the sidewals strted to buldge from potholes and being on 18's as they are kinda heavy fz4 are toyo entry sport tire they are made for cheap entry into the aftermarket performance tires and are no where near anything else that toyo makes which is strange falkens make a good tire but have not ridin in a car long enough to tell characteristics
  7. ok now after reading this post i understand it more the company who put the alram in it i guess doesn't do alot of high end or lexus' much as i had my aftermarket clifford installed in my es 300 and it works perfect i have to active the button on the key or lock the door to turn on the factory alarm i would say they need to rewire the alrm lock pulse which has been used using a door lock wire linked to the alarm
  8. that you have ever used a volt meter? or that the wiring i gave you is incorrect the best though it get another speaker and connect it to the leads for the stock one as i think they are acessable under the shelf in the trunk if it works then you kow you have to change a speaker and all the wiringing is good
  9. sorry stevie fz4's are real crappy i found them noisy ( this is on a 300zx show car with aa very loud exhaust) low on grip ( especially when really driving) and just not a very good tire in anyway the t1-s are much better but don't you live in the north east where it snows? but i guess you are getting it for the rims which are summers dunlops p9000 i think, are very good the t1-s are the best tire to me but kinda pricey kuhmos are ok but alot better than a fz4 and cheaper good luch and which enkie are you going to get?
  10. yah the little bulbs are blown pretty easy to replace just remove and open it up the lights have a plastic base just twist out and replace take them to the dealer to get new ones
  11. i find in ine and other es that at idle the heaters don't work for !Removed! turn them on and give the car a good 30 minute highway drive and see if you can notice them then usually it is the crappy alternator that is in the cars that don't feed enough power to keep it warm
  12. i have to agree with stevie as usual the interstates seem to be very good and interstate i think now owns optima or atleast distributes them the yellow top optima seems to be the best and last a while costco over here has them pretty cheap for what it is i think 220 canadian just make sure you get one that fits the battery pan properly i got one from toyota and it was too small (size wise , not amperage)i found out after whith there cross reference chart cca ( cold cranking amps) is the main thing to look at all battery have a listing on them
  13. it shows a pink and a violet wire for it but it also shows that for the front left as in colour coding have you used a volt meter on the wires
  14. from looking at it it is in very nice condition and has very little wear on the drivers side leather seat so i would say it is a good deal it is at 2 grand now but i think it is the first day of the auction as there is still 8 days left
  15. when you say you are rewiring the amp what are you exactly trying to do replace the head unit, speakers, or wiring?
  16. wow when first looked a the pics i swore to myself you where just photoshoppig and messing with the size of the a real car for scale the only difference is the front but it really is unbeliveable especially in such a short period of time to make mold and paint it so well it really is a piece of work and i take my hat off to you on a extraordinary piece of work and accomplishment
  17. there is no use doing step 2 before the gold class but doing all three steps are much better than doing one by far also the wax will last longer think of it as trying to soap and cream your skin at the same time you could do it but not very well as if you get a good rinse and exfoliator first dont' ask why i know about those things lets just say my wifes listens to me talk cars all day so i have to listen to her talk to her avon rep all day which is here aunt lol later
  18. i would say the gauge is ok but the wiring for the temp sensor might be busted trace it back and see if it is corroded at the harness as a thought
  19. lex tek got to say that is very good advice clear and concise i think you will definatly be a very good aset to this site in time to come from all members thanks in adavance
  20. i dont think it should be too had to buy a new in car kit for your car and mobile phone that you currently have the main things you would be using still is the mounting location the speaker run throguh the audio system right door speaker and the mic plus the buttons on the steering wheel should not be too hard or expensive
  21. i also have a problem with my egr valve but i don;t mind as the car works much better when the light is on also some how gets better emmisions the last time i had it done
  22. hey gslx did you ever find a dealer in the states for the kits?
