  1. one easy thing to do is go to midas or speedy have them give you a free brake inspection and tell them you will call to book an apointment and just use there guidelines for replacment get the parts needed and replace all the guess work done for free and you will get to learn by seeing what a "needs to be replaced part" on your car looks like for next time
  2. unichip is a really good product first developed by the racers group in the early 90's for porsche cup cars in the series of races it was then renamed the unichip as it became more adaptive to other makes and models it needs a qualified tuner to set up on your car and a dyno to be able to see gains and loses but well worth the money if you can afford one but maybe not worth the car but atleast you can taek it out after and put it in a new car and start tuning all over again
  3. i would almost asy that there is an aftermarket alarm in there and that it was/is somehow linked to a remote start or atleast a starter kill look by your battery and see if there is a fuse or a few wires that don't look like they really belong leaving the battery terminals hopefully one of them has a fuse udo them all and try you key if this is applicable at all
  4. hey don't thank me i really hope i am wrong or atleast you got a good one it will also be a good thing for performance if it works out better on an ES as you already know the parts are limited
  5. i erally like the borlas sound as it is real deep and the tip is subtle depnds on what style you like really though if you want just a look go to a muffler shop and have a new pair of tips installed for under 100 for the pair and then you can get almost anystyle you want welded on
  6. there are no 2 inch drops that i know of the springs i am going to use are the 4cl camry ones little bit less on spring rate but i have lareay driven a v6 camry with one with shocks as well and it rode fine
  7. yah they are very ood i only have slotted as drilled can sometimes crack under extreme fatigue for the price get both front and rear or the braking will will unbalaced and you will get over steer also will be a little more brake dust
  8. most brake rotors will have the min thickness on the inside diameter squealling could be anything and unless you have a vernier caliper to check for thickness (since a ruller will not work) it will be hard to tell especially since you have to machine the rotors and make them true again but the brakes are easy to remove and reinstall
  9. sorry i guess it is a matter of perspective i prefer to do things the right way and once not that anything is wrong with using stock internals but even the NA and turbo version of the same supra engine are different in strok bore and reinforcemnts for the internals even ford does this so if going to spend the money on a turbo take the engine apart reinforce it and then go fromm there someone even has a tubo on a 1mz-fe engine( camry, same as a es 300) it works but in definition of design it is stupid as it is only running of one bank of exhaust runners when it should be both for a turbo as it will create an unbalance internally causing crank walk and bearing seizer in the long run but like i said anything can work just how long
  10. go to uhaul they have a hitch for almost anything
  11. only though it get a dyno t will put it to rest tether any gains where made although it is after the fact a few peple have had a dyno done to compare it to
  12. any plans on donig the dyno as jet ecu's have been know to lie and make no changes if not make it worse one of the most unreliable ecu tuners around kind of like the mysterious black box ecu which is really a resistor on ebay
  13. i would love to see an after dyno for it as i am guessing you didn't do one before the swap
  14. don't know anyone with band g springs i have eibachs prokit 1 inch drop with 18s they are perfect back any lower and i would ave rubing issues alsoi am changin the spring and getting something else to drop the front lower
  15. i don't think it does but i haven't looked at it in awhile as it is sitting in my garage i'll take a look later
  16. sorry you didn't like it but atleast you tried and for about $20 it was a cheap loss just wondering whta didn't look good did you wrap it all around the grill or just to the chrome bezel as that is what i had seen on another ls it was just done to the chrome got any pics? you also have to be careful witht e grille or it will indent and look crappy when putting it on
  17. well atlaest you have the right attitude to learning now you need a volt meter this will show power when and where it is no real tutorial on tryig to trace a wiring system it kind of is a hands on thing where you have to look and meter each wire to see response when a the switch is pressed
  18. too bad you trashed it alot of people actually will buy it
  19. no the whole hvac assembly need to be taken out of the dash tehn a few screws on the side of it to be taken out then pull forward and disconnect unscrew the bulbs which twist off and you should be done
  20. then you need to find a way to get a new screw first
  21. no the head cannot work with the stock amp so it has to be last leave the system alone and add a box if you want more bass for clarity the whole systme has to go remeber everything is tuned for itself take any part out and it will drop in volume if you want a system to pound so everyone will look at the car just add a bandpass in the trunk and an amp the cheapest and simplest
  22. you need to jumper the window motor to see if it works this may not be as easy as chanigng oil so you may need to take it to a pro also the window move becasue it needs adjusment nothing really to fix but also better left to an expert as it is a pain in the behind to hold the window an adjust the bolts in the right direction
  23. i do not own a rx but it is the first lexus ever made outside of japan in Cambridge , Ontario , Canada they are extremly strict on product control white gloves even for chasiss installation they vacum and clean the windows of all cars even though they are already clean workers cannot wear deoderant rings and watches must have special protectors for them real tight ship
  24. the engine you have may be similar but not the same so many part should be upgraded to able to widthstand more power an older engine will need a full rebuild before turboing or you will be just looking to throw all that money away within a few months
  25. whta anti theft are you talking about lex? there is none on the radio's
