  1. not that i can really asy anything to ad to this but i understand your frustration and as said before i am suprised you even had to go this far withouth them getting it done once the first time and right away defiatly not in regualr lexus style hope it is resolved quiclky
  2. it depends there are a few types of cleaner] one is distributed through the vacum lines another is the regular fuel treatment which goes in the tank and the best is the fuel rail one which distributes through the rail at high pressure one trade name is motorvac
  3. what kind of injector cleaner and how much if it was a motor vac ( high pressure fuel rail injector valve and everything else cleaning then i would really say it is that since most people have it done and swear there car dirves like new again
  4. glad to see thing are ok now but still am intrigued as to the flashing lights
  5. well to check the screen you need to drop the tranny pan undo all those little bolts and tehn there is a liver shaped piece held with i think one screw it has an opening on the side you are looking at , as that is the oil pick up and it sits almost to the bottom of the pan ( so it is going to be the lowest thing in there) undo the screw pop it off and clean it i used degreaser and a small metal brush to get deep inside as the openings top or bottom are small make sure it is really dry no water at all before reinstalling i can't remember what i said about pick up lines but i think it was regarding flushing the system it would take a few gallons and a large container to do it at home but possible basically getting the car and transmission to normal temp ( see here is your problem when the flow valve opens you car quits) do a simple flush first of the fluid with a line from a fresh jug going to the tranny and the one that leads to the radiator to a catch container so it is just sucking up new fluid and dumping the rest right out of the system i am speaking of the 2 hoses that come from the tranny to the rad for cooling it this is the easiest and only place i know of to redirect the flow and may shops have a filter machine ( walmart) which does the exact same thing probably for less money and head ache
  6. exactly get that all checked the light doens't mean there is a problem with the battery it means a problem with the charging system
  7. i have bosch 4's they made no noticable difference beside it was a new plug you always want platinum as it wears less than copper which is its only improvment as the rear plugs are a pain to remove
  8. that is quite true i love to see newer members help even newer members with old members advice confused as long as it works and is true you could probably fit a 6 1/2 in there it has been 6 years since i changed mine out so i can't remember if there is a mount plate that can be removed for greater space and focals are not erally made for a door panel anyway they are more at home in a custom kick pod otherwise they are a waste of money as tehy need to be angled right for the roper soundstageing and reproduction unfortunatly but they are awsome products
  9. is it my imagination or did you ask this already? the kyb and eibach ones are what i am going with sitting in my garage waiting to be put on hopefully this week sway bars a re available from a company called whiteline in australia they also make springs and other suspension parts bushings i am not sure about though but i am going to start making a ureathane upper motor mount
  10. over kill i doubt it just a good improvement i would have liked to get a nice combination one but remember no matter what anyone says the camry v6 rear rotors fit but are not the same diameter also the ones pictured are ok not a real high end one more of a die maker grinding out material compared to a nice curve in the slots also a chamfered edge or a bevel will help reduce noise when braking on a slotted the same goes for the drilled to have a lip around each hole
  11. it is a pain to remove i used a plastic trim remover tool most pro shops have them for 10 bucks they are a little bent end with a fork i it to safely remove trim like this POS vent try try and then try some more just do it slowly
  12. not sure on a few things first since i am not an rx owner i am not much help but try the diagnositc trick to see if it also works on yours as well press the recirc button and the auto button at the same time then turn the key forward see if it displays a code better to during the day as the solar sensor will read as faulty since there is no light good luck and tell us what happens
  13. where did you get the bulb? some are not the right resistance and cause the dash light to go off
  14. first i don't know where the stock amp is located AWJ should have an answer for that you don't need a high low as it is already in the amp once the stock ampp is located then running wires from there to the trunk is one option or runnig new wires to eac speaker is another also changing the speakers might be a good idea as well as the system is tuned for the amp speaker and deck take any part out and it will not sound as good tapping into the speakers will not help as it wont have any output or signal as the amp is dead you woul need to take the wires from the back of the deck to the amp are you planning on chainging just getting a small amp and a new sub might be easiest and runnig the power iwre through the fire wall to the trunk
  15. so what is the horsepower and torque same as other 430's and do you think the engine shaved seconds of the quarter mile?
  16. go to the dealer and ask the service department i did this and they gave me a set to try and fix my key head once s tehy have a drawer full of old keys but i did buy the guys some ice wine previously as i was thinking ahead
  17. actually it may just be political propaganda but they are doing everything possible to make this an exact replica and even more stringent on the assembly line to dispare that type of thinking but i can't blame you i am not sure if the follow the morning team workouts that lexus in japan does but hey white gloves to put a tire on that seems like total overkill
  18. the exteneded warrenties are not needed on any lexus vehicle in my opinion except maybe a first year of a new redisgn but other than that even older 90's car hold up very well
  19. just wondering if the stroke and the bore is the same how is the compression lower is it from a larger angle in the head and valves for clearence or a larger gasket?
  20. no problem stevie as long as it is a good answer which it was :chairshot:
  21. for that many problems first thing to buy is a good multi meter to test wires and start tracing back the systems i am sure it may be a harnes unplugged but you never know could have even been in a accident and never fixed right the meter is the easiest way to save money another inversment is see if you can find the original lexus service manuals tehy are rpicey from the dealer sometimes are one ebay but they are the best i am not really a fan of haynes or chltons but you get what you pay for
