  1. just wondering why didn;t you post in that thread and ask the people who had it done?
  2. if you don't care how it handles tehn there is no use to changeto a larger rim it is for looks and handling only it will diminish the ride the larger you go bigger rim mens less sidewall which means there is less cushion of the road
  3. Have you checked to make sure the back of the flasher button is plugged in? as it is beside the a/c control which you removed to put in a new deck
  4. umm there is no 91 ES 300 do you have a 91 es 250 ? how far have you gotten in taking apart the wheel?
  5. i belive you pioneersuby i am only going by what the schematic for my 94 es says which said the cd changer plugs into the amp as there are 2 different pages in the lexus manuals for a cd option or not , showing the wiring from the deck ,then a harness leaving the amp to go to the changer it might be different though as i have never physically seen a non cd amp
  6. are you talking about when your arm and disarm the alarm or when the alarm is triggered? when triggered it does flash the lights and blow the horn but arming and disarming it doesn;t
  7. sounds real good i would like to see the forums highest posting members in the calander even though it is moderators including myself :whistles:
  8. looks real nice the 2 tone does so much more with your car with matching rims to me it didn;t look right at all
  9. look up that link that says Gallery is the photo gallery where there are pics of all cars by models
  10. I might check to see if the battery cable is in good condition it may have broken quite a few strands causing lots of resistance if it is turning over very slow also check the amount of oil just in case the main battery cable is located under the battery tray and the starter gets its own 12 vdc supply from the battery but it is only a 1 1/2 feet long
  11. not sure how you didn;t find the other 50 posts atleast for the common problem with the 92-93 only overheating problem sounds like yours is the thermostat if you checked everything else
  12. there is no jdm ES 300 as tehy don;t sell lexus in japan it would be a regualr lexus emblem kit for sale in japan as they have no idea which ones it is and just want to have the "L" on the car what are you looking for gold or chrome i may have smoe new and used ones
  13. dman you should have fixed the damn tranny while the engine was out as it makes it much easier to acess rather than using an engine /motor support just to have to put the car on a hoist to drop the sub frame to get the tranny out from the bottom
  14. glad you feel better about the rims you don;t need or want the accord running either way when boosting a car if the donor car can start off its own battery why can;t another sure it give a bit more juice but you create a tug of way inside the electrical systems once the dead car starts as its alternator is now going to try and compensate for the lack of voltage quickly there are specific diodes in the alternator that cannot take the abuse easily
  15. first this is in the LS section so i will move it to the SC one second it has nothing to do with lexus as they do not make remote starters third you did not mention which starter/alarm you have fourth where did you get the remote starter? what other info do you have on this alarm? is there any small fuse holders beside the battery? if it is a older clifford they have relay s that need to be de energized before they will release the alarm when the power dies look for the fuse along a seperate non lexus wiring harness and pop it in and out tthe lights will blink close the hood and the remotes should work again
  16. put it this way if they steal the rims the insurance would have to pay for stock rims and tires which would be way more than any aftermarket ones just don;t have the accord running while you are trying to start the car or you might be in for a new alternator down the road
  17. http://www.cafeshops.com/loc_dark_blue.6308740?zoom=yes#zoom the calander is finished but i only notice UK cars they are nicely done with photograpy styles rather than most of the USA one which were just shots of the car with no name info ,wrong size , 4-6 pictures of the persons same car and a whole host of other problems
  18. liek i mentioned tube subwoofers are great in an open air vehicle like a hatchback or suv they work ok in a trunk vehicle as well bbut in an open air convertible they are a waste of time as it needs to reverberate against something
  19. Yah there is no light flash feature the relay will work fine and in about 30 minutes to wire it up
  20. well the only good part is they can;t steal your car atleast not by driving it away when i mentioned the cables i meant them being in regards to gauge thickness not age as smaller cables are made more for a longer charge to start the car while thicker 0-4 gauge wires are made for a rapid boost using the donors battery not alternator to start the dead one it may also sound stupid to beat a dead horse but since the battery is removed from the car why not try to directly hook it up to the cables and use a donor battery in a good car or just warm up you old battery indoors for a couple of hours and put it back in the car tommorow morning and it may just have enough charge again just random thoughts
  21. your reoccuring problem is a reoccuring question there are many answers to fixes already tried and failed it seems to be related to the fan not being turned on properly in traffic by the power steering pump your dealer ows you alot of money for really bad diagnosis find the other posts and it will answer all your questions
  22. i guess it all depends on the car and what you are trying to charge the one i use i also used on laptops ,but i would not recommend using anyof them to recharge any kind of battery as it will destroy it mine was about 1 "thick 3" X 4" for overall size and it works great for the laptop or ps2 i never had to rev the engine as it remained on fine unless the car was turned off it also does not have a fan either only the larger ones do
  23. you would need a one relay hooked up to the parking light switch comming off the steering column then it would be activated off the small alarm chirp siren if you have one if there is no siren on that model then it would be easiest to use an arm only chirp hooking up the realy instead to one of the factory arm outputs with a momentary relay instead of a solid power relay using the power door locks in lock mode to activate it
  24. it doesn;t affect the car at all i have one powering my ps2 and it works fine but once the voltage drops below 13 vdc it may shut off as it is under powered when the engine is not running some cheap ones also create a hum in the fm radio stations when on
  25. I can understand the battery being dead but once it turns over it has vdc to run most systems also meaning it should start unless the cold start injector is acting up also ,combined with other maintaince problems like plugs wires cap and rotor Here si a question when the engine is turning over does it do it at nromal speed or really slow? it may also be bad or tiny booster cables not transmitting enough power how much gas is in the tank?
