I would say it is not a scam. I guess it would have been easier to ask the owners why they felt tehy needed to have tehm .As that would have given the best answer possible, The awd is not constant as i am sure you know and like most systems it only comes on when needed for the rear wheels if there is enough slip or loss of traction ,that it needs to be used. Personally i would have the awd which is much better than a 2 wd if needed which is highly unlikely in an urban enviorment.

If you have height adjustment i would say it is the air compressor.

It is very minor to fix ,unless the panels rub alot on the ground and now have been grazed. It is really easy to add the bolts or replace the panels which are used to direct the air flow under the car and through the rad . The only problem is the price of these small parts are really expensive . It hould be no problem to get lexus to replace them if needed ,especially if they do all its service

If you aren't going to do it. then why expect someone else to. It is more time that i have to invest for free. Then i guess you are nominating yourself to spend a few weeks to find all the tiny bits of information. that is also found by searching. There are no common questions if there were then there would be an faq.

There is no faq for this section as there is no faq's. The faq are related to specific models of cars in there sections. It is mainly for modification of an audio system more than repairing problems which an faq helps with .

MOre info ,like how long? have you been in an accident? do you know how to trouble shoot wiring?

did you try the self diagnostic ,located in the general maintance section?

about 1000 for new keys another 3000 for new locks and labour maybe more depending . Just buy a new replacement key and leave it at that. Or even better buy a boomerang security system to find it if it gets stolen which is much cheaper and might lead you to the theif of the purse ,if they are nuts enough to come get it. as they already know where you live and have the keys.

yes someone posted about this last month , i guess you missed the post. it involves replacing a pl;astic clip to attach to the door handle.

I guess you kinda don;t know what i mean. As mentioned in the faq . None of the stock equipment will work properly with any kind of new equipment. You are comparing apples to oranges just because they both have seeds and are fruit. The stock system puts out so little power and is very efficient at it that no matter what you find ,it will either be over powered ( replacing an amp ) or underpowered ( replacing speakers.)

this was from a while ago and in the wrong section. But the fix is to replace or clean the idle up valve in the throttle . It is stuck with carbon.

There are 4 bolts on the light , so you have to undo 4 nuts.

do a seach . it has been asked a few times.

Contact your insurance company. I know mine will replace all keys and locks if they go missing.

I prefer the rear windsheild below the 3rd brake light or if you have a pair tehn where i have mine on the lower rear windows edge.

faq as the specs are useless. They mean nothing unless tehy are with all the original stereo equipment.

since this is related to every lexus model as it is pretty common try a search to see the fixes otehrs have done.

I can check my es 300 service manual and see its procedure but it would be better if you can find another sc owner who has the SC manual to give you the exact one. I will post it once i check the book.

I am still not sure what you are trying to say ? The liscense plate lights were burnt out so the headlights stopped? the wiring was damaged ? need more info Are you sure the wiring wasnn't damaged behind the light causeing the rapid blinking .Since the hid's use less power the whole cuircit now had more available power which caused a small break to become a larger resistance?

I would have been out there 2 doing the same thing. You need to let the lights stop flashing. open a door and it will start to go off. then flip the switch and turn the key forward , it should stop the alarm from going off. also see if there is a button as well. It sounds like the alarms siren has been removed also. After setting off the alarm you have less than 10 seconds to flip the switch or press the button.
