  1. hoebag, where to get signature and exclusive kits for 92-96?
  2. hey guys, what do you think of this wheel? Intensive - Trance I need a fast response beacause this auction ends really soon..so please hurry. thanks.
  3. i think the es300 in question is of gen1
  4. hoebag can you suggest some people to contact for kits from Japan?
  5. yeah i was wondering about that myself when i looked through the owners manual one day. seems like it shouldnt be too hard, but i havent tried doing it yet...cuz i havent needed to yet.
  6. i think that an oil filter is fine as long as it is the right size. Since the camry and es300 have the same engine, the oil filter will work the same for both. i usually get Fram brand oil filters.
  7. hey Brotherkain i'd love to see a write-up on this. if you could include any pics that would be even better, but seeing as you're all done with it, i wouldnt want you do open everything back up. i think whatever you can manage to post will be of great benefit to the whole community here at LOC.
  8. since we're on the subject of body kit materials...can i get some enlightenment on what different materials are out there? can someone give their opinion on them?
  9. first of all, if you're saying that valentine1 is to radar detectors as what lexus is to cars...i would have to disagree. alternative - n. - something which can be chosen instead (Merriam-Webster) so. here we have a choice, as consumers. we can either choose to buy the valentine1 for its various benefits OR we can choose to buy something else other than the valentine1. ITS A CHOICE. surely there are consequences to our choices(ex. performance, style, cost), but it's up to the consumer to choose which alternative is best suited for their individual situation. i think some of us have incorrect definitions of alternative; along the lines of something synonymous to equal to or same as. also...i very much doubt that hyundai owners say they own equivalents to lexus. also...it appears some of us need to learn how to use quotation marks jk
  10. from a short ram, you can expect an increase in throttle response (due to less piping and the open element filter) and a more agressive suction sound when u step on the gas(due to the absence of the air box). Beware that you might even experience worse performance b/c the open element filter might start sucking in warm engine bay air(not good). IMO theres no real hp gains with short ram, but an intake is pretty much one of everyone's first mods; so enjoy it. also, expect worse gas mileage b/c ur gonna be gassing it around town cuz u'll probably like the new sound.
  11. i use my emergency/hand brake every time i park. and even sometimes at a crazy long stop light when im tired(so i can take my foot off the brake). its just a precaution when parking to have the e-brake initiated. and i'm guessing it would help out your transmission when you put it in Park. also, since you only initiate the e-brake when you're car is already standing still, wear is so minimal that it's not even worth mentioning. If you're worried about the brake lines being stretched out, i'd suggest not jerking the e-brake up and instead just giving it a slow, smooth, firm tug. most of the time you wont need it to be at full braking strength; you just want to have good resistance to assist your tranny...just in case. ps. got this from driver's ed too.
  12. keep us informed on what happens. i've also heard about the stock system being a pain in the @$$
  13. maybe someone can do a write-up of this, since its a really common problem for ES300's. that way anytime a person asks what to do about the climate control/ radio lights we can just refer them to the write-up. think about it - you could be famous...on LOC :P
  14. is there any writing on the metal ends of the bulbs? it might have the part number on there. also, if you could take a picture of the bulb, it might help.
