  1. the rims size and width is fine the offset is ok but not bad the width of the tire is fine and the rubber maker is a cheap brand.
  2. sledge hammer, visegrips are all last resort tools lexus makes an easier way to remove a seized rotor. Just be glad you didn;t get an abs code after
  3. their is no trunk release for the alarm on the key depends on what key you want they have a wallet one $30 a valet $40 a large head master $60 and a large head master with remote head too much $$$ the needles need to be sent out to the states to be repaired for about $250
  4. that is the uniform they are known for wearing but both persons in the suits are not :)
  5. no ,it is related to the higher rpms when cold and you shifting the tranny into gear before it is ready causing it to thud until warm
  6. hmm ,now we have a pic,i thopught someone else posted a complete one with pics as well a bit ago. I don;t rip my engine apart ever, thank goodness
  7. it went from a 3piece look to a 2 peice look the upper part is all read and the lower part now has the turn signal instead of in the middle of it to give it a cleaner look
  8. moved to the general discussions
  9. it isn;t a finish but a cleaner of sorts , it removes a thin film of debris and wax to leave a clean reflective finish of new wax, think of it as a gentle exfoliation or acid peel. it has a slight film left behind with optical brightners
  10. yup about as canadian for currency as coffee and a doughnut or a mountie although you will never normally see them here .Actually i remember seeig somewhere that the ministry of tourism or the city is paying for a couple of mounties to walk around downtown Toronto for the tourists. So it sounds like you can have your car serviced and walk around and see some mounties while eating a doughnut. lol
  11. lexus car alarms dont have shock sensors for just that reason not multiple vibration set offs
  12. I checked North East lexus in brampton their shop rate is 104 and hour with a loaner not matter where you bought it.
  13. it actually raises and lowers the car? I was sure it only changed the valving of the shock making it stiffer or softer as raising the vehicle would mean it would need an aircompressor system and air shocks like the old LS's
  14. the ecu stores codes until they are erased if it is intermittent or has happened befoer you owned the car it will remember them. so it doesn;t mean you have 3 codes but at some point in time you did go back and get them to read it again to see what troubles are still there
  15. sledge hammer? sure if you want to replace the abs sensor the hub is seized to the rotor hat to remove tehm read my post in the workshop tutorials
  16. thanks for searching the basic answers and trying them first i would say to clean the IACV which is discussed in other threads in detail to clean , it will idle normally after depending on the problem autozone can;t mess anything up as they are only plugging a generic computer to yours to read only the ecu and clear the codes if needed.
  17. the lock might be jammed by having the door rod bent from someone opening it with a slim jim, causing it to be slow i can tell you did some searching as you knwo about the ecu part someone mentioned a ong time ago of how to program another key with the same fcc code to your car problem is if it doesn;t work you need 2 new keys with an ecu chip to insert into it , it is cheaper and better to get a good remote starter alarm installed
  18. I love the answer amf and stevie maybe i shoud try that here, if i weren;t so cheap to actually go to the dealer for anything
  19. you need to apply a thin film too much will affect the sensors perception if it flaked off for no reason have them give you a free replacment under warr or check the prcie of a new sensor
  20. he has a 97 with i am pretty sure is the digital cdma maybe even a tdma but shouldn't be analouge
  21. as long as it is your one and only personal set ,it is fine to list them here to get rid of as their is no links to ebay auctions allowed
