  1. the 1mz is also a high compression engine which needs more octane by the very nature of high compression yes i oversimplified it for a basic gas comparision.

  3. So you want a set of gold ones as i don;t think he has any plain chrome ones, and these are oem toyota's not aftermarket caps
  4. get the oem one it says lexus now but it also is a much better moulded glass with less of the ripple effect of aftermarket ones which show the ripples when you look at it from angle of the side
  5. to use the oem ones you need oem headlight housings then you can use aftermarket hid kits to make it cheaper but align the lights properly
  6. i am guessing you have the old stlye 92-93 which has 2 rad caps as you are at it replace both of them now the thermostat isby the water pump housing ,i think, i never changed mine, i got it done with my wiming belt and pump years ago by a lex tech

  8. funny thing is how has a barrel price gone so similar to the 80's oil shortage but the refined price is double of what it was then if you don;t skew the data with a recalculation for inflation???? Somehow we get gouged nicely, technology makes things easier and cheaper to do, if not then why the hell don;t they make it like they used to make it. I noticed a few months ago it was 10-15 cents more in guelph when i was down there for a day ,i was so suprised. and there is a difference in performance in the ocatane levels using the seat of your pants dyno is not accurate.

  11. I would use throttle body cleaner to clean it first as it usually just gets dirty but almost never goes bad ,i had the same problem once.now it works perfect 6 years later still
  12. your cap and rotor is probaly full of coolant ,remove and clean it should fire right up
  13. megires tire endurance it is purple and works amazing for tires especially when you clean them really well first before applying it by washing them well with soap and water to remove the old dressings build up
  14. a motorvac will usually fix the egr problem which is stuck with carbon from closing properly causing an excessive flow problem
  15. you don't use anti seize on spark plugs it is for bolts not electrical transfer joints which would become baked under current and no longer be anti seize but a sure seize' only use dieletric grease on the nipple of the plug and boot,
  16. what year is your ES ? any ES would need a custom plate made unless it is a 92-96 which has a cheap premade kit i have a 97-01 face plate already made ,they usually cost about 250 to make. the N1 is a great peice ,now if only alpine made one ,i would be all over it.

  19. ahh , in that case i have no idea but that is why i usually pull the fuel pump fuse out and run the engine till it dies usually about 30 seconds thent eh system is nice and dry,just don;t smoke lol

  22. i would try the wiring first as it is a simple motor it should be a 2 wire reverse polarity system unlike aftermarket ones which can use 5 wires
