  1. hey guys, im changing my rear disks on my ES300. i have removed the caliper but now the disk won't come off. it doesn't seem like anything is holding it in place other than from the inside of the disk. in my hanes book, it says to insert a screwdriver into the hole next to one of the 5 bolts coming out of the hub and to move a gear inside downwards and that sould release it??? i've tried and no luck...any ideas?? thanks. Jules
  2. hey everyone, just a quick question, how do i remove the automatic shifter on my 92 es? i can loosen it by removing the 2 screws on the back and the screw behind the shifter button, but then when i go to lift it up i cant because the wires are caught. im thinking the the cruise control button and the plastic around it have to pop off, but im scared that it will break. any ideas on how to do this? thanks.
  3. hey guys, i havent been on here for a while, hopeing u could help me out. i bought some Toms race pabs for the front of my 92 es300 and when i went to put the caliper back on, the piston would not retrack so it wouldnt fit back on. i bought new calipers but i dont get them till tomorrow so i thought i wold bleed the brakes today to save time. the problem is, is the i cannot get pressure from the bleeder when im bleeding, resulting in no liquid coming out. any hints as to what i can do? thatnks guys, i appreciate it.
  4. hey guys, i got a 92 es300 and my front left window has really slowed down. i changed my drive side one last year cause i broke and im scared that this one will to. is there anything i can do before it breaks? i know that to replace the motor you have to change the whole unit with is $$$$. so do i have any options??? cheers!
  5. hey guys, i just bought a sweet pair of front cross drilled and slotted front rotors, im pretty sure i know how to take them off, the front is pretty easy but i have heard of the caliper locking up and then your in a mess, i just wanted to know is there a chance they could? or is it not probable. cheers guys, i'll post the pics when i have them on.
  6. i have seen the same kind on ebay for alot cheeper, shipping is more than the bar it self, especially if you live in canada.
  7. im in oakville, not too far from toronto, about 30 mins with no traffic. there are a few more pics of my car in the es gallery. cheers!
  8. those look awasome, i never knew that the diamond pattern ever even exsisted. If you don't mind putting pics up, that would be great to see how good they would look on. cheers.
  9. depending on the the make of rotor company i've seen them say it will fit 91'-97' modles, others say 92'-01'. my friend is a service advisor at VW and he is recomending me getting a set of PAGID pads, hes heard real good reviews about them, and has them on his 89' BMW e30
  10. hey guys, what kind of brakes would you recomend for the front on my es 92'. i want to go with a cross drilled patten, not slotted because i've heard that they eat up your pads pretty good. any thoughts?? thanks.
  11. i have a 92' with 9 kims away from hitting 150,000 and my acceleration seems fine, as soon as the contact with the peddle is made you get response. the gear changes are also very good, not jerky when you put it into drive or park or reverse either. maybe you could check and see if their is alot of slack on the gas peddle cable under the hood, but it sounds like a more complex problem. let me know when you find the answer.
  12. i can't do this... sorry. check them out at the gallery.
  13. thanks for the help 93LSOwner. give me your feedback.
  14. hey guys, thanx for the help getting my pics up, sorry i didn't link them to the page, so you'll have to go to the es gallery to view them. my pics start at page 32 and first picture is DSC0004 and stops at DSC00029. let me know what you all think, i would love some feed back. cheers.
