  1. 98 GS300s do NOT have DRLs. Yours would be the first I've heard of. Do you mean you turn on the car and the high beam bulbs are on (at 50%)? ← unless it is canadian
  2. true the only thing you could lose is your amp deak and the line levels if wiried incorrectly
  3. if you buy a 97-01 ES get it from a lexus dealer or make sure it has all the maintance schedules and receipts for it incase of sludge and getting toyota to repair it for free the ES is much cheaper than the LS to maintain
  4. works fine as most oil plugs are facing the rear of the car for that angle of an oil change for full drainage
  5. I like the S it is smooth as silk with the airmatic suspension but can be very expensive to fix parts are astronomical which is a mjor consideration to me. MB has tight sensor tolerances ,so even when a sensor is good it sets off a cel easily requireing a new part such as a1200 throttle body lots of options like door assist and trunk rear sunshades rear climate lcd air cooled seats nav pnematic seats orthopedic adjustmants composite hood material hids headlight washers rain sensor wipers long wheel base **very rare** sonar guided cruise amg package with 18 inch rims airmatic and abc suspension trac control memory seats one touch button open close trunk security extra thick panels ad glass ** rare ** rear seat recline rear heated and cooled seats also Right rear passenger can control the seat in front of them from the erar door to make more leg room by moving their seat forward plus lots of other features i prefer 03 and newer with clear headlights with projectors slight redesign body one touch keyless smart card start and locking common issues are bad gas mileage and the front seats always crack the base shroud plastic from entry and exits the 6 engine is slow the 430 is nice but a 500 is much more confident to drive nav screen is way too small for me cd updates make it expensive and they are small for onformation as it is not dvd based good luck to me it is a S55 or nothing after driving that for a day it was the first car to ever make me feel the expresion of in the pit of your gut wow it could handle and was soooo fast never mind the dynamic seats which inflate the opposing lumbar supports when going into a turn to keep you centered lots of feature whch all cost money to get and fix
  6. you can get a manual for even old pioneer decks for free if you ask nicely scoche shuold be no different
  7. if an engine is bad enough nothing will return it but i very much disagree with a good flush i use them every 3rd oil change it cleans so much crap out of an older engine it is amazing but i always run new dyno oil for 2-3 dyas and then flush it out with synthetic as i don;t want any flush running in my engine for any long periods a synthetic oil is also a good cleaner of old oil but the higher end like amsoil amd motul are much better at cleaning deposits that mobil 1 is by far
  8. agreed it will work easy the yellow has a lower internal resistance to provide beutiful statring in codl weather whiule i watch otehrs struggle to turn their cars over i have a yellow in both my cars ,the other one is a civic it has been -20 here already with a beutiful dip for windchill of -40
  9. lol no worries , i don;t have a superiority complex just a spelling one
  10. The ballast looks like a phillips style case but the connectors have been cut and the main harness plug is turned 90degrees from phillips ones. The ground problem is a slow creeping up one were over time it will cause arcing in the case and create resistance causing the cpacitors inside the ballast to not retain full charge and cause flickering ,not right away and not all cars,so it is just preventative maintance for its reliability. Funny enough my drivers side will flicker occasionally after a hard bump, since then first time about 4 years ago i added a ground and it has never gotten worse.
  11. the optimas are supposed to come with a free tray to make them full height for the tie downs to work properly. I would just get the yellow for a few dollars more
  12. hid's flicker when their is a resistance in volatage it is either from a bad bulb or the ballast is not getting a good ground usually. If continued to use it flickering it will destroy the ballst shortly the case of the ballst should be metal and have a screw on it by getting a peice of wire and grounding it to the scew with a connector and one to the car it should help improve it. You are having a problem on the passanger side which is the furthest away from the battery so i would look at that first which kit do you have also if you have pics of it as their are so many ones. hopefully it is not a giantlight or mucculogh one
  13. only round thing like that is the pcv grommet on the rear valve cover
  14. if it flickers and goes off it is probably a wiring issue where the ballasts are not receiving enough power try grounding the ballasts cases to the chasiss
  15. no problem vvt had no intelligence ( you got me) then upgraded the output in 99 you can disagree with me it is no problem ,i only am managment becuase i do that extra for everyone not because i am someone special.
  16. agreed 97 and up only have avs in north america unless you live in asia or europe kyb and stock springs are cheapand easy go to a performance shop they install for about 100-150 for all 4
  17. get a used door if you are going to replace anything bondo is something to be used sparingly most shops use it like a magic putty which it isn;t. Fix the damn panel then use it to smooth edges and surfaces not remake them ,that is just pure crap to need that much unless it is just paint they scuffed for primer and still forgot the rest I am still out to lunch on the black being an acrylic and not base clear as i have never gotten into a shop to look at the pint chits for verification.
  18. I had one go on me a little bit back i went to a local store aid i bought it 3 weeks ago with no receipt or box and they gave me a new one now that is perfect customer service i hear both ends i have had a few sets and like them but i prefer my HID;s for a pretty much life system ,so their is less replacment costs
  19. did you cut open your filter to see the gunk? I always love to do that
