  1. soo agreed it has saved me an hour a day of removing garbage
  2. agreed your car your ideas enjoy it as you already are nice to know someone actually takes full advantage of their car no matter the emblem on front i always thought the camry/avalon/es300/RX/highlander platform was not that rigid for off roading ? but what do i know i take my civic through snow banks with my winter suspension set up for 2 inch lift and 17 inch snows
  3. a good aftermarket sourced kit using oem ballasts is the easiest and cheapest way to go for maximum reliability don;t use mc cullough kits they are crap and die easy
  4. yes all SC's have the tank over the rear wheels it is safer up there than under the car where it can easily get rusted and be punctured it adds balance and added winter snow traction as well
  5. a normal rule of internet forums is to not type in capitals unless you are trying to convey your annoyance and are yelling your post. just a thought,i doubt that is what you are trying to do never heard of a k40 but the valentine 1 seems to be the most superior radar detector ever hands down . No one has ever made another that i have seen from a reputable company showing more acurate test results of vg2 (actually working) and actually picking up real dangers as well as few falses from other crappy detectors car and driver motor trend sprot compact car gumball 3000 and the list goes on ,real speeders won;t leave the garage without it as it IS the best
  6. sorry bby last i meant the last option package which is "C" in canada of a,b,and c which includes leather and the lsd
  7. usually it is the whole egr is just filled with carbon causing bad idle and stuttering usually just cleaning it out will rectify the problems associated with it
  8. a true load test for any ES alternator should be after the engine is hot not luke warm and been idled for about an hour that is where mine always shows its true colours otherwise it shows perfect 14.4vdc until it gets real hot and left to idle which causes it to not leave the battery with a good charge
  9. I guess my communication skills speak miles for me as well then?
  10. the intial belt squeel is caused by a high amount of tension from the same serpentine belt adding load then the power steering pump adding to the load causing it to slip on the crack pulley, shoul be adjustable on the alternator bracket but it isn;t a real tension issue but one of too much load too early as the alternator is trying to charge back the battery at the same timecausing problems atleast that is my take on things
  11. an lsd is (limited slip differential) it stops one wheel from spininng by locking the 2 together thus creating both wheels to spin and distribute the power evenly. so it would leave to skid marks not one instead for each wheel the year means nothign as it is an option when making the car if you have full leather not micro suede then you just might have a lsd
  12. hot wheels makes those tiny ones i have seen here only a few plastic models
  13. 250 a key and 400 for the ecu prom on a 92-96 a fob can be found on ebay for about $60 if your lucky
  14. not sure if canadian models had them as standard pretty sure they were optional but definatly not available on 97-99 in canada
  15. difference is minimal as well with snows you want a smaller patch and higher sidewall for more psi for bite
  16. depends on if you have the last option on your car it woudl leave 2 marks if it has it might need to change your diff oil
  17. the buttons on the wheel are only on 98-00 for the 400 engine only then the 300 only once the 430 started the buttons control upshifts and downshifts by pressing them once selected with the gear shifter to that position
  18. add bread with bitrex (what they use in antifreeze to stop children from drinking the sweet fliud) it is non toxic by itself so they will not want anythign around their
  19. what is a bendix? what locked up? are you sure your timing belt didn;t snap?
  20. my alternator like most have bad ones which need a newer revised smaller pulley to make it spin faster at idle. It is supposed to be on all 97 and up already though
  21. find out what colour you want first them the ook of the redesigned tails if it matters to you
  22. sticking throttle body or cruise control solenoid
  23. not spark plugs the click is the starter solenoid making contact but not enough power to turn the starter if it turns over after a few clicks then the solenoid needs to be removed and cleaned then change the starter wires and battery grounds
  24. first you should do a google search and learn about hid;s before you go about upgrading and get real information about the technology as it is all over the place and too much to go around asking for before trying to understand it. also try not to type in caps in future posts,no harm no foul once you read up on hid;s you will understand what you want and need is pretty simple and not rather expensive once you know where to look
  25. might be a small amount of air but nothing to worry about as air usually drains itself
