  1. Yes it is a 93 es300 v6 appreciate repair manual procedure I wish that you also have the procedure to remove the front exhaust pipe Thnaks
  2. OK I have replaced the dogbone and will attempt to replace also the front mount. I searched a lot of forums and discovered that I shall need a 17 mm socket and need to jack up the oil pan. Out of the three bolts one has to be removed from underneath and two from the top. Do I need to put the car on a ramp , remove the bolt from underneath first , then put the car back on level, place a jack under the oil pan and remove the other two?. (Oh I forgot that I should remove the center bolt as well) Is there any tip in doing this? What is the torque specification? Are the bolts hard to break loose? appreciate any help Thanks
  3. I think the leakage of my flex pipe is cause by the deteriation of the front engine mount and the dogbone. So I think if anyone is replacing the Y pipe because of the leaking flex pipe should also check their front engine mount and dogbone or the flex pipe will be put to excessive stress again. BTW I attempt to change both the front mount and dogbone myself. Is there any tips ? The dogbone is easy but for the mount I only know I will need a 17 mm socket and need to jack up the engine. what extension will I need ? is there a write up on doing this?
  4. In Ontario u can buy seafoam at car quest 560 Dennison for around CAD 14 or in a shop near HW7 and Kennedy for 11.50
  5. I did a can of seafoam and the performance of the car has improved a lot. It also runs quieter too. But does it actually removes or cures sludge problem?
  6. My dog bone 's rubber bushing is damaged badly will this explains the vibration at the stops when tranny is in drive. Is there a rubber insert that I can use , instead of replacing the whole dog bone Will the damaged dogbone at 180,000 KM reasonable or it also relates to engine mount damage. There should be some poly urethane bushings that I can adapt? is there any? Also, re my last post I used some sea foam to identify my exhaust leak and I have pin pointed the leak at the middle of the longer flex pipe. But the condition of my pipe other than the leaking area looks solid . Is there a way to patch the flex pipe ( I quess only a small crack) because when I accelerate at higher speed slowly there is no annoying noise. It is also pretty quiet at idle. Thanks for any help By the way if I buty the aftermarket Y pipe can I still use the oem heat shield?
  7. have you tried Car quest or other parts store? In my case a 96 v6 the cat will cost me 180 at car quest and 110 at another local part store ( IN CASD
  8. Thanks to everyone for such great recommendation. Oh by the way TCKCUMMING is there any sound difference between the OEM and the after market Y pipe. Isearch some camry forum and noted someone claims the after market Y pipe is noisy? I live in markham or GTA Ontario . Is there any good and resonable mechanic shops around my area? any shop that will custom made a Y pipe ( mandral bent?)
  9. Need help to decide on should I buy OEM from toyota cost CAD 360 + 3 gaskets of $ 10 each or an after market one for CAD $ 210 + 3 gasket 4 each Also the driveline seem vibrating when the car is at stop and with transmission in drive. Is this cause by the leaking Y pipe also? How much and where should I take the car to get the Y pipe replaced? Thanks
