  1. Maybe the temp sensor in the dash has been blocked or disconnected. Check the tutorials or general maintance section for pages on how to check it for codes.
  2. He is not ignorant toys, Toyota does not regard the mesh as a filter . It is a screen that is a non servicable item.A filter is a consumable item which does require replacment and is no where listed in the "EPC" as one.. BTW most modern toyotas do have a drain plug on the bottom of the tranny pan including yours
  3. An EDFC stands for "electronic dampening force controller". It basically turns a knob on top of each strut to make the shocks firmer or softer by pressing a button on the display that moves the motors in step increments. Just makes it easier to drive and find what you want to set the firmness 2. Beside getting out and turngin it by hand.
  4. need more details on what the brake light looks like. Where is the fluid level in the reservoir?
  5. proportioning valve is only on 92-93 cars.
  6. Ever checked to see if somethign is wrong with the cold start injector causing it to stay open?
  7. When buying brake cleaner get the chlorinated stuff. It is usually called POR as it is stronger at removing dirt. ONly downside is there is usually less in the can (shows the same weight) but chlorinated finishes faster but works way better.
  8. Just ordered my set of interior lights for my LS. Can't wait to get them and SEE the difference ,hopefully i won't get too excited and forget to take before and after pics.
  9. It won't do a thing to the rubber at all. I do it once a year and it works way better than a power washer which always shreds the embroidery "Lexus"
  10. Neither. You bought the car used didn't you? You have an aftermarket alarm in the car which is overriding the oem system from the sounds of it.
  11. I sort of agree stevie, I love how Japan thinks they invented drifting. We had ice racing from day one with model T's, now it is a daily thing on our highways and actually a large race body of ice racing which is hilarious to watch as they are all beater cars basically going sideways through the whole race in a controlled skid.
  12. I don;t know what is in worse condition ,the girl standing kneeling and spreadnig all over the car or the flaking paint .I love the idea of spraying the car and her with water to make them both seem shiney.
  13. If you can't find it with the car in front of you ,it is impossible for anyone else to find it over the internet. If it somkes at start up then open the hood at startup and look for a leak in that area.
  14. got an item #?
  15. Ball joint is probably wear and tear highly unlikely from the hole. There is some after market airbags with lifetime warr on them for about the price of 1 bag.I would get that for a piece of mind and replace all.
  16. look forward to seeing you
  17. You are right it does have to be above freezing for corrosion to take place. So every night when you park your car in a garage it starts again as most are insulated and the hot engine warms the air to well above freezing.
  18. Sounds like new rotors are needed.
  19. They are just run of the mill 5 star rims from 90-94 when that style was in. I noticed a coach emblem but not sure if it is real. You could just ask him in his guestbook.
  20. Any smoke form the tailpipe? You might have a blown headgasket.
  21. Agreed it has nothing to do with Lexus but the idiot who sold you the rims. That is why it is rubbing in the back on the fenders to the tires.
  22. Don what i find funny is you discredit my idea of finding out what was looked at and compared a fix from a ford like it is a common problem for any Lexus to have a clogged fuel filter.
  23. As mb stated for the $ it may be the best weighted option. But there are alot of high end synthetics and blends which are more expensive race bred oils like Motul redline
  24. When making a thread, try and make it mean something in the title as "Brake Calipers, It was a Success" Is pretty much useless in telling you what the thread is entailing. So what did you use to paint the calipers? Name?
