  1. FWIW, this is what I mean from Subaru's standpoint.... http://endwrench.com/images/pdfs/WhatEWNov05.pdf
  2. Since the prices for different coolant was so similar, I decided to go ahead with the Toyota 'long life' Red coolant personally. My 2003 Subaru's owners manual states the same as the Lexus owners manual to use any suitable EG coolant.....however, I know for a fact that the Subi coolant has specific ingredents in it made specifically for Subi engines as an example to prevent future head gasket issues down the road that the others don't have along with using a product called 'Subi coolant conditioner' as a preventitive measure. I don't know if the Toyota/Lexus coolant has their own special additives or not, but I know OE stuff will be fine. I just wish it lasted longer than 2 years/30k miles. Just my 2 cents.
  3. I considered it for mine.....but I think they would have cheapened the appearance of the car actually.
  4. So the $4,500 he gave you cleared withour incident? I agree to put on the 00-01 tails, some tint & take someone special out for a nice dinner. B)
  5. What was the condition of your ES before the accident & how many miles? B)
  6. So where are the pics?
  7. Yes, been around for years. A little over priced in my book but that is me. Plus it would not call it the best. The only plus is high, real high amounts of moly. But on the flip side moly, well, sucks for doing long(er) drains. They are several cons to it too. You would need to do some UOA and see. Calcium is below 2600 ppm last time I looked and Zddp are inline with lower Group 4 oils (cheaper price too) TBN is again inline with other oils. There VI levels are nothing high along with a average pour point. HTHS is again average at best; in the 3's. For the price they want for it, they can keep it. I have a GSXR does not use it and never will either. That is my slanted view on it. I think I'll stick with my Amsoil personally....not a Motul fan. ;)
  8. Lol, so I have heard.....should be interesting once I have little ones running around.
  9. Would the person who installed it be willing to retint that window? I don't think the heating will work any longer......as you said, the tint has dried.
  10. That would be monarch's way of saying: "Why no, I haven't." I hear ya. I should have thought ahead & asked Anybody else except Monarch with WW experience lol. :whistles:
  11. SK, They are a fairly new high performance all season tire to the market.....some more info here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...ot+Exalto+A%2FS
  12. Here we go again! :whistles: Freak, Did you expect anything different ? Nope, lol.....suprised it took him this long.
  13. Here we go again! :whistles:
  14. Here is some additional information on WW for those who might be interested... http://e30m3performance.com/myths/more_myt...ater_wetter.htm
  15. Agreed, Take it back to the place you had it done......the side window is easy to redo.....if it was the rear window, then that's a big PITA. B)
  16. Agreed, not a wise idea.
  17. No, sounds like it needs to be replaced. Kill 3 birds with 1 stone & do a tranny 'drain & fill' (total between 3 - 4 qts of Toyota type IV fluid....double check your owners manual for the correct type of tranny fluid you need) & at the same time have the tranny pan gasket replaced along with the filter mesh screen cleaned......you should be good as new. B)
  18. I agree to stay clear of the Kumho's. B)
  19. We'll agree to disagree ;) Fair enough. :D :whistles:
  20. Why would you put MXV4s on it? They would totally be the wrong tire for that car. Thats what I've been trying to tell you, certain types of vehicles are more suited to certain types of tires. Oddly enough the Matrix is a car I would probably put those Falkens on. Not the right tire for a ES or LS Lexus, but right up the alley for a Matrix. The Triple Tred would also be a good match for this car, again not for an LS or ES Lexus probably but right up the Matrix's alley. For once sw & I are on the (semi) same page! I concur. And yes, the TT's were & are the correct tire.......at least for my gen ES no question about it. B) :whistles:
  21. You go boy! A BIG congrats to the happy couple! :D B)
  22. No worries dc. ;)
  23. Anybody else with Redline Water Wetter experience? :whistles:
