  1. Have a passenger ride with you to try & isolate the problem to a specific area.......failing that, do the same with either the Service manager or advisor from you Lexus dealer. B) Good news is the car is under full factory warranty. ;)
  2. How does one get 'nose dives' during gusts of wind?
  3. Ditto for my GY TT's. :D
  4. Call a few stereo shops to see what they suggest......without them saying to 'bring it in' to them. ;)
  5. Josh, your not making the wisest move here based on your reasons for a 'directional tire'. You don't need a specific directional tire on an AWD vehicle like the Matrix......they have to be rotated on the same side of the car regardless. You mentioned Safety is high on your list for your new bride, considering the winters & such.....the TT's have that in spades, much better than the Falken's do (just look at the tread designs)......if you want to 'compliment' & take full advantage of it's AWD capabilities (and stay away from winter tires in the process) the TT's are the right choice for that car without question.....I can't stress that enough bud. I could have got the Falkens for my wife's Forester........I thought about it, but knew it was not the right play. ;) What's the worst that can happen? In a year, if you want to upgrade to larger wheels & such you sell the TT's (very popular size) with a good amount of tread remaining & recoup some of the money invested......it's a win-win situation. :D The Falkens won't be worth anything as their tread isn't designed to last much longer than 30k miles on 55 & lowers series tires......you have an 80k mile treadlife with the TT's. ;)
  6. I had mine done last November......very inexpensive part. B)
  7. Mine is there, but not serious at all.......all trim is where it should be & looks like new. B)
  8. OK, Then what is the take on waterless coolant ? Don't get me wrong dc....I have nothing to base my comments on as I have never used that stuff, but it does sound interesting......but a half million miles? If it sounds too good to be true..... There are reports (as per Toys link to theoildrop) that it does not work well in some vehicles cooling systems.
  9. You know me quite well my friend! :D :P What else do you see?
  10. I think that's one of the quirks of all ES's from 1990 - 2001. ;)
  11. Not sure how much stock I would put into the fact they claim it lasts 500,000 miles.
  12. Hey were all allowed Mulligans lmao. :whistles: But the same goes for tires, no such thing as 'best' either. ;)
  13. Yup, I'm getting too old for this stuff personally.....I'll just concentrate on tires instead lol. :whistles:
  14. Welcome to the club! B) Agreed, search the FAQ's & that should point you in the right direction. Good luck! :)
  15. For my situation, it's best to just use the OE coolants for my 2 cars & change them every 2 years......I'm worn out trying to compare 'the best' out there to be honest. B)
  16. I will be putting the WW in my Lexus & Subi later this evening......just in the recovery tank is all that is needed. Also, it does not alter the freezing point at all of the coolant. ;) Thanks for your replies everyone! B)
  17. Lmao!
  18. Consider trying E-bay, auto wreckers & salvage yards the 2000 & 2001 corner lights should be indentical. B)
  19. Castor oil? :whistles:
  20. First off, welcome to the club! B) Lexus is also very well known for one other very important thing.......reliability! Which is something to keep in mind whether your purchasing new or used. I think the baby seats will fit in almost any Lexus model......except the SC (2 door). Common problems? Do a search in the specific model forums depending on which Lexus you are considering. Avoid buying a used Lexus without any service or maintenance history. It's hard to answer your $30k question......you haven't told us which year & model you are considering. B)
  21. SK Why did u buy 4 sets? What happened to once burned twice shy? Fair question. B)
  22. Interesting stuff bart lol. B)
  23. Agreed, by the looks of the damage that is a write off. :( what hit you ako?
  24. I beleive the warranty is 8 years & I'd go with a Lexus dealer personally (but call Lexus head office to make sure). B) Make sure you have proof of all oil changes since you have owned the car. :)
