  1. Having experence with the Falken Ziex 512's personally.....so far about 7 folks I know (including my wife) have them. Never had any complaints of what you are describing. Is the tire dealer prepared without any hassel to replace all tires again with the same ones? Failing that, I'd put some more miles on the car & see if a little more breaking in will improve the condition. Just dosen't sound normal to me. Keep us posted on what happens. B)
  2. Agreed Toys. B) The less 'down' time for me the better.........synthetics are the way to go without question. ;)
  3. Agreed, I'd have it changed along with the WP. B)
  4. If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with MB personally. There is something about the class one has with a MB. B) I have never had the same feeling about BMW. :whistles:
  5. It's very funny & amusing to deal with the uneducated...... :whistles: :chairshot: I usually just hand them their 'stupid sign' & be on my way. ;)
  6. Do you know if the tires are directional or not? Perhaps the tire store installed the tires on the wrong way. First I have heard of radial pull with the Falkens......make sure the air pressure is correct first......beleive it or not you can't rely on the tire shop as they usually over inflate the tires when they are installed. Check the basics first & let us know if the problem is corrected. B)
  7. I doubt any of us will reach that kind of consistant speed......it's now wonder the belt broke! That's extreme.
  8. I put mine between 33 - 35 psi......best pressure imo for comfort & a bit of handling. B)
  9. Timing belt bud, not timing chain. ;) Get the car in mechanically sound condition first & then work on the 'would like to have's'. B)
  10. lol lenore! :whistles:
  11. Ask the dealer to factory order one with 17's or Contact Lexus USA directly by phone & voice your concerns to them. You should have the choice of the 17's or 18's in whatever region on the U.S. or Canada one lives in. B)
  12. How about a satisfaction survey of regular maps vs. Nav systems? :whistles: ;)
  13. Either with service history records or perhaps by looking at them (or having your mechanic inspect this). ;) B)
  14. Ummmmm, like I said, a complete 'Major' tune up. :whistles: <_< ;)
  15. Chris, Make sure when you find a car or two you are seriously intrested in (higher mileage or not) has all the service records up to date. Change all fluids as per the owners manuals recommendations (I'm guessing that's 'severe service' intervals for you). Don't be afraid to have a mechanical inspection as well......if the seller (private or dealer) does not want to let you do that......RUN, don't walk away for the deal. As you know, mileage on a car is not as important as how well the vehicle was maintained.......if you get something around 90k, ask if the Timing belt & water pump were replaced as that is their interval. Good Luck & keep us posted! B)
  16. It's got the 'dimples' for aerodynamics.......I'd leave it alone. B)
  17. Not necessary.....where did you hear that? As long as you don't have any oil leaks currently & the engine is mechanically sound, you can switch to synthetic without any problems. I personally went from Mobil 1 to Amsoil synthetic. B)
  18. Did you put iridiums in again Doug?
  19. When was the last time the car had a complete & 'major' tune up? B) I assume the tire pressures are correct?
  20. The most important item I would have looked at is whether or not the timing belt & water pump have been replaced. They are scheduled at 90k miles. B)
  21. No I don't think it will......the shapes are different. B)
  22. Fla is one LONG state let me tell ya! All the way down to Key West & back! WOW! But all done in the Lex mind you. B)
  23. Several day time pics from different angles will help. It looks like it belongs however. Just not exactly sure what it is.
  24. This is true. ;)
  25. Pics look great tck! B) Nice job. You have to do that every 6 months? That's a bummer. :(
