    I once bought a 1994 LS400 that ran 206K on the original timing belt. When it broke, the repair bill was 1800. (in 2002) I bought it at 230K, put 30K more on it, sold it last Christmas, still running fine... BUT, I would not try that... it looked like this:

    My wife wanted the Gold emblems on her 97, so I have these for sale. The LS400 emblem is missing. I am selling the Grille L, the trunk L and the name LEXUS. No broken pins.. the back ones are like new, front has usual nicks.     Mount your spare, let the bent one be your spare. no spent dollars, unless you need to remount the tires, cheaper than a wheel. cheers, bp

    I am running MXV4 on my wifes 97 LS400, and Pilot Exalto on my 95 LS400.. THE EXALTO IS BY FAR THE BEST, SMOOTHEST, AND QUIETEST, if you drive over 70mph, and I do. Below that they are about the same.

    I have had 5 different LS's over the past 15 years, and ALL of the Temp gauges have been right where yours is. also, never had a water pump "go out" cheers, bp

    Your local Lexus dealer can pull up all records that have been done to it by a dealer. Also I think a carfax would be a good Idea to find out some history. post some photos of it..
