My 94 has 252K and my 97 has 227K. both are LS400's and are the same color 046 opal white pearl. plan on driving them til I die...... coarse I'm 74...... looks like they will outlast me....

Great looking LS, when you keep them serviced I think they will last forever... my 94 has 252K on it and my 97 227K. both have gold package on them now. the 97 is a coach edition with the platinum emblems, but my wife wanted gold also, so I got her some 03 gold L wheels and the emblems. Anyone needing a full set of platinum emblems, contact me.

Hi, my 97 LS has 226K on it had has no cat problem, and my 94 LS has 252K on it without cat problems, so look for a reason/problem up on the engine to be causing the failure..

I sure wish I had used Mikado Technology , I sent mine to LEX-PERT Jim Walker, after talking with him, I realized everything that was wrong with it was my fault, for one reason or another. If you are going to use him, be sure you talk lexus lingo and know every thing there is to know about your cluster. Mine, my temp gauge dosent work, and needle is not illumated (it did,was)(faulty packing on my part)(plus if I had told him, it would have been an extra charge) my seatbelt reminder isnt working, the D(drive) light dosent light up. BUT, worst of all, my tach & speedo needles stick unless setting in the sun.. WHY would anyone use the type of grease that causes this type of problems if you are in the repair business... ANYWAY I sure wish I had used someone else, that didnt require me to know everything...

THANKS, the art of knowing how. my bulb was a 95.. new one was a 74.. I slid the little green cover on it and it worked.. so far.. is that ok?? this is my 97 are these wheel ok? I have a set of 98's I could put on it... what do you think?? HAY, both of mine are 046-Opal White Pearl also... neat..

how do you replace the light around the ignition switch ls400

I stripped all my wires and twisted them together, light stayed on. tomorrow I will cut the wires from the sensor and see if that works. I done all 4 wheels. if it works I will post it. The sensors are only on the right side, one front and one rear; the sensors are there so you won't wear the pads down to metal, which in turn might ruin the rotors. Replace the sensors and do frequent routine brake inspection would be the best way to go, instead of disabling a warning system that would warn you of unforeseen problems if by chance you forgot to have the brakes check. Good Luck, N.E.O. Correction to the above, 94 LS400 has sensor on all four wheels; in 1995, they were change to only the right side pads. NOTICE, my error, I had failed to strip ALL the insulation off on one pad, and it was preventing the wires from contacting. Luckly it was the first one I was going to cut... now the light is out. NO CUTTING. and with new sensors the warning system would be operating again.. .

also, do you have to CUT the wires, or just twist them together???

Are you sure the jumping would shut off the light? I try this and it did not work. What method did you use to jump? Thanks in advance for your reply. someone told me to strip the insulation back at the sensor and twist the two wires together. will this work?? also my 94 LS seems to have one on each wheel, do all 4 of them have to be twisted together?

how do you reset the brake pad warning light

thinking of bulbs, my 96 LS400 radio back lights dont light up. I can see the dial in the daytime, but not at night. all radio/cd/cass, work fine. took the radio out/apart, but the two bulbs are soldered in, I cant do that, plus I dont know if that is the problem. Seems funny that both would be out. I just bought the ls, so I dont have any history.. can anyone HELP???

how do you remove the fuel tank gauge 1994 ls400. the fuel pump is not connected to it?? I thought it was? my email is: billydpowell@verizon.net
