  1. QUESTION..... HOW DOES HE SPRAY THE LATCH, IF THE TRUNK WILL NOT OPEN??? bp
  2. I dont think spray/lube on key or into lock cylinder is going to do anything for the latch, nothing is going to travel over there... mine is operated by a solenoid, yours could be bad... but knowing all this will not open your trunk... I dont have a clue how to get into it without possible damage, you cant go thru the back seat because of the fuel tank.. good luck, but if you figure something out, TELL US ALL..
  3. 1. NO 2. neither 3. none 4. 1.00 5. go get a real job, this is for friends helping friends, because we love our LS's. How much did Eternal Life cost you..... blessings.. bp
  4. yep, I'm with you... no need to over-do
  5. yep, I chickened out at 120, but it was still pulling..... wow if I was 25 instead of 75, I could keep this going.... bp
  6. If that is how you think, .. good luck with whatever you get..
  7. if it will fit yours, it will fit mine, if the fit is ok, I will buy it. I will send you a separate message. bp the photos are my wifes LS and also mine (that I want the knob for) they are both 5 inch models.

  9. both of mine will pin you to the seat on acceleration.... with all this mileage too bp
  10. I have to think you will love the LS, I have two of them at present, both 1997 models. We have had 6 LS's. ours have 232 & 238K miles on them and drive like new, perfect interiors. mine is diamond white pearl and has a check engine code 430 (cat convertor) as its only flaw, but passed state inspection with RXP gas kicker's help. my wifes is opal white pearl and has no flaws at all. hope this helps...
  11. easy as pie... local lex dealer charges $45+ (0.5-hr labor) to program the fob! there are a few versions of programming procedure floating arount the web, here is the one works for me (id: HYQWDT-C): 1. sitting in driver seat, with driver's door OPEN, press lock/unlock button ON THE DRIVERS DOOR to lock all doors, then manually unlock driver door only. 2. Insert YOUR key in ignition, DO NOT TURN, then remove key. 3. Using the same lock/unlock button ON THE DRIVERS DOOR, slowly press lock-unlock in 5 cycles 4. Shut door. 5. Open door. 6. Using the same lock/unlock button ON THE DRIVERS DOOR, again slowly press lock-unlock in 5 cycles 7. With the door open insert your key into the ignition, turn to 'on' position (DON'T START), wait 5 seconds. Turn off and remove key. 8. Locks should cycle once (Car will lock and then unlock once by herself). If they don't cycle or they cycle more than once, do steps 1-7 over. 9. Now using the remote, push lock button, hold for one second, then release the button. The locks should cycle once. If not, start over and go slower. 10. Close the door. 11. Open the door. 12. Press the lock button on the remote. The locks should do a lock-unlock cycle. 13. Close the door 14. Press the lock button on the remote, the doors should lock. 15. Press unlock button and the doors should unlock. before it gets successfully programmed, you will hear a 10-second long beep which did take me by surprise! I thought I was in big trouble....
  12. he is talking about mileage, not dollars...

  16. You can have this one, I just bought another 1997 LS Diamond white pearl... so this 95 has to go.. I also got the fender molding from pure drifter and put it on. I am taking the chrome wheels off the 95 and using the 97 stock wheels on it. let me know if you are serious. bp
  17. WELL... I have a replacement mirror glass coming from partstrain tomorrow (osrv mirror) Sewell said I could come and pick up the wsw pump for my ws washer, it was missing. I got the deck lid adjusted, looks normal now. left to do fender molding, check engine light, flashing trac-off light. whew.... did you get my email about the fender molding? I got one, you said you were going to check the color in a couple of days and get back to me. nothing since. email me direct at: billydpowell@verizon.net thanks, if it for a 95LS I want it.

  19. It's been a while, but I remember it being right down by the flywheel on the front of the block on a bracket, pointing at the flywheel. Mine's a '95. Why? seems like an odd question to ask without any background information.... What does "looks untouched" mean, or refer to? THE TROUBLE CODE IS "obd II code P0336" crankshaft position sensor.... or wiring problem I dont know and cant find out if the timing belt/wpump has been replaced... 170k miles. to me, the front of the engine is where the water pump would be and the back would be next to the transmission. I thought the flywheel connected to the torque converter... ? right or wrong?? .
  20. Hi where is the Crank Position Sensor on my LS400? Looks untouched?? somebody help....
  21. This one was cheap, $3000, but I have some issues to deal with. I fixed the tilt/telescope, but I had already fixed one before, just a garden hose washer works. The AC just needed one can of freon, and a couple of taillight bulbs turned the dash light off. Now I need to "get to the washer jug" to see why it is leaking, and turn it's light off. then the "TRAC/OFF" light that flashes on and off.. (The Trac off button does not change anything) AND THEN deal with the CHECK ENGINE light .. THE TROUBLE CODE IS "obd II code P0336" the AutoZone read out said "open or short circuit condition" or "poor electrical connection" or "faulty sensor" Then see if I can adjust the trunk hinge to make it lay flat again. WOW, thats hard on a 75 year old guy with limited $$$. Any info or links will be appreciated.. thanks in advance.. bp
  22. 1.check codes :P 2. search for "trac" in this forum, should be a lot of hits. 3. leak in lines 4. either bent trunk or bent hinge. 5. needs a refill of r134a coolant, might have a leak 6. junkyard 7. i actually have the exact piece you need, pm me :P (the plastic panel that's supposed to go there) 8. replacement needle from another panel, not cheap nor easy, just simple in theory. is there any instructions about the needle? THE TROUBLE CODE IS "obd II code P0336" crankshaft position sensor.... ANY HELP? it runs great

  24. Hi all, see the photos below for my 2nd 1995 LS400 has some problems, and I need your input... 1. check engine light on (havent checked codes) just got it today. 2. "Trac OFF" light flashes on and off, with trac button pressed in or out. 3. WW fluid runs out as fast as it is put in (read something about this) 4. sprung trunk hinge (said he put gas cap in the corner, forgot and closed trunk) 5. AC only cool 6. right side mirror broken (is there a replacement glass for it) 7. lower left front fender bent. 8. speedometer needle 2/3rd black (any fix?) STRIPPED ALL THE GOOD STUFF OFF, PUT IT IN MY NEW 97, AND SOLD IT AT THE AUCTION. we took all the seats, console, and door post covers out, Chrome wheels, and one seat belt, jack and spare. plus all the gold emblems...
