  1. Hi, I have a 1996 LS400 and the Steering Rack Solenoid filter screen was dammaged while cleaning it, does anybody know where I can get this filter or if I can make something similar to it? Help will be very appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Thanks! I called Sewell Lexus here in Dallas and they advised to use Toyota ATF 4, so I went ahead and did it. Thanks again for the help, In appreciate it.
  3. Hi fellas, I own a 1996 LS 400 and it is low on power steering fluid, I checked the manual and it calls for Dexron II or III, I went to a Lexus delaer and they said I could put regular power steering fluid, I have been browsing through the forum and almost everybody talks about ATF......went to Auto Zone and they only sell ATF Dex/Merc. Please help me, I need to make a desicion as to what king of fluid I should put on my girl. Thanks!
  4. The lighter wires shouldn't matter Are you sure the security is set on the radio ? I would say probably not, 99.9% of lexus owners never set the security on. I have never come across a headunit that was locked yet. Welcome to the club Thanks so do I follow the intructions on the manual to set up the sec code for the first time?
  5. Quick questions for you all, 1st question: I purchased my 1994 GS300 and had to fix the lighter on the console but the question is do the connectors that go on the lighter it self have polarity? one of them is black and the other white. 2nd question: I want to replace my battery but don't have the radio code, I called Lexus but they said they would have to connect it to the computer to retrieve the code. I don't believe this, what do I do?
  6. Hi everybody, Just purchased a 1994 GS300 with 165K for 2700 dollars, just wanted to know what are some of the common issues with this model. Thank you all.
  7. Great I knew I could count on you fellas. I will not use none of that stop leak stuff. Best regards! :)
  8. Ok got it, Didn't mean to agitate people in here, yes I'm new at the forum and one of these days I will be wise like you guys. Remember this is my first Lexus and it took me 14 years to achieve my dream of owning one so I want to learn as much as possible on these awesome vehicles. Best regards. :)
  9. Hi guys, bothering you again, I have a leak and want to use some stop leak treatment until I have enough money to find it and fix it but the 95 LS 400 does not have a radiator fill neck, it only has an expansion reservoir, can i put the stop leak in here and can you guys recommend something? Thanks in advance.
  10. Thank you all, unfortunately I'm not sure if this is an interference engine or not still.
  11. Hi guys, How accurate is this link from Gates.com explaining this is not an interference engine: http://www.gates.com/part_locator/index.cfm?location_id=3598 So if my timing belt brakes would it hurt the valves and what not? I don't want to get ripped off by the mechanics since I'm learning as much as possible on these beautiful cars. Thanks in advance to all of you and happy Easter!
  12. If you have a multimeter, you can test the resistance of your Spark Plug wires and igntion coils, and see if they are within spec... :) Thanks will do.
  13. Thank you all, I will follow your instructions and keep you posted. Best regards.
  14. Sorry did not mean to sound like a smart !Removed!, I don't know anything about codes but after researching I found what you guys posted, I have not changed wires nor plugs, should I do that first before I invest in coils what do you guys suggest and where can i buy at decent price. Thank you all. Ps what is a cap?
