  2. NEED HELP, replaced LF outside handle, and broke relay rod from handle to latch, how do I replace the rod? not listed in tutorials? any help?

I had mine done by Jim Walker in California and it was NOT a good job. my temp gauge still has no backlights and a dead needle, and various other lights do not work, of course, he said it was all my fault for not telling him the lights didnt work... my question was "why didnt you test it out". BUT, yes the gas gauge is part of that.   7. my 97 LS400 has 228K, my 94 LS400 has 254K they are a dream to drive.
  8. Hi, I have a trunk L and the name LEXUS that came off my 97 coach edition, (sold the LS400) , see photos - they are NICE 35.00. also have the front grille L with some chips, for 15.00 they are not chrome, but coach edition.

  10. Looks good. What happened to the hood? correct, they are GS wheels, and the hood is pushed up by the hood lifts (aftermarket)

  13. Just for the records, I had already replaced the struts and mounts, and as a retired mechanic, I knew to replace the mounts with the struts. I did not know how sensitive the Lexus' was until I got on this club. Since I retired in 96, we didnt get many Lexus products in the shop, so I have used your knowledge to keep my self up, so thanks.. bp
  14. Hi, we just replaced my front struts on my 97 LS and the Clunk is now gone. thanks for all the help. took about 2 and a 1/2 hours to complete. It seems even tighter than ever. our mileage is 228K.
  15. Hi guys, I am in need of a truck, so I need to sell my 1994 LS400. 253k miles. t/belt-pump replaced at 203K. Leather is tan and good, no cracks or tears. I have it on Dallas craigslist, but these photos are better. call 972 395 0678. Dash cluster was repaired in june, lights now working also renewed temp cluster, no black. has Gold pkg, plus ls400.   18. This info is for a 1997 LS400, probably the same as yours, but check. Hi, replace both strut rods, The strut rod part numbers are 48670-40011(LH) and 48660-40021(RH). They come complete with bushings and 2 pressed-in bolts. they run about 95 each. http://photoshow.comcast.net/watch/Fj9WH6CM this will show you how. and that lowspeed clunk will be gone. cheers..
  19. 1994 & 1997 headlight adjustment.. which way to turn the screws. up - down never mind... the 94 was easy, just 2 phillips and my garage door... 97 a little harder, small rachet + 8mm socket + moving some stuff out of the way & my GD again.... Cant figure out why no one offered any assistance or guidance.... oh well.....

  21. Hi Guys, my 96 worked fine, but had no backlight, days were fine, but no night illumination. I took it out and carried it to OMICRON ELECTRONICS here in Carrollton and they fixed it for me while I waited. They said it was a faulty solder connection, they resoldered it NO CHARGE. wow I was blown away. hope this helps someone..... (the 96 was sold, I wanted two alike- Pearl instead of white, but photo is below)
  22. Thanks for the nice photos, they worked perfect. A bolt was missing out of the lower glass run channel. put one in and shazam it is quite again..... every one should download that link, I did and then printed it for my files.
