  1. Thanks Thomas, and take care of yourself. I had a stroke at 73 and recovered most of my body functions, but not my energy level. I think of so many things I want to do, but give out before I even get my tools.... but my nephew used to work for me and is an excellent mechanic... my 2 sons were not mechanical, they are 55 & 57 now and have been riding since I got them motorcycles as kids. here they are.
  2. YEP, we put 5k on it in 2 years, so in about 8 years I'll have 200k and be 86, or gone on to Glory...... But if, I'm still here, Jon will put it on for me.... (my nephew who does almost every thing for me.) I did pull the dash on my 2000 Sienna and replaced the light bulbs, and put a new PW motor in my drivers door (I can sit down doing that.) not bad for 78....
  3. here is what the manual shows... Remove the water filler plug from the throttle body. © Remove the 3 drain plugs on the engine and radiator, and drain the coolant. (d) Close the 3 drain plugs. Torque: 12.7 N·m (130 kgf·cm, 9 ft·lbf) for engine drain plug 3. REFILL WITH ENGINE COOLANT (a) Slowly fill coolant to the throttle body until it is full. Use of improper coolants may damage engine cooling system. Use ”Toyota Long Life Coolant” or equivalent and mix it with plain water according to the manufacturer’s directions.
  4. Took my 99 to Park Place for my 175k oil change, next up 180k they have a 29.95 special that they mail out every so often and I take advantage of it and get a free car wash also.. They have always commented of how clean it is for that many miles.... first photo 2010 see inspection stickers 11, second photo 2012 (today) stickers are 13's.
  5. I did not write this, just trying to pass on some helps.. read the article... Six ways to ruin your ride with terrible add-ons 1) Excessively wide wheels/tires. 2) Poorly designed aftermarket intakes. 3) Knock-off safety components. This week's federal warning about counterfeit air bags in thousands of cars highlights how the advent of eBay and flourishing, cheap overseas manufacturing have contributed to cheap replica parts. 4) Bigger brakes don't improve braking. Even stainless steel brake lines can be a problematic upgrade. 5) Pointlessly huge exhaust. 6) Rock-hard suspension. Here is the article: http://autos.yahoo.c...HQDc3RvcnlwYWdl
  6. great, thanks. and I guess that is how they line up too.
  7. Landar not trying to pirate your listing, but y'all give me some help.. I have never owned anything but LS400 models, I know an es is the economy sedan, what is the GS & IS ?? then go back to guessing the damage amount.
  8. Hay guy, do sorry to hear of your misfortune, but glad you both are ok... you done good on your last accident, so you will be ok this time too.
  9. You hide where you are, so, dont they have any salvage yards there?? does craigslist operate where you are?? they are always parting out cars on it.. but you can probably go to the dealer and get one if all else fails.
  10. This guy is hunting for an EXPERT, and I guess I am the only one on board today.... you do know that X is always for the unknown Value,....... and SPERT is a drip under extreme pressure....... so...... what else NCM? here i am................... smiles
  11. no chip in yours, just go to a wrecking yard and buy a ignition key & lock assembly (working) and put it in. and does your llkey work in the doors?? if so hold on to it... $450, you are probably going to find a lot of things wrong... BUT BUT BUT do not enter them twice, like you did this time...

  13. Just keep in touch and let me know..... 972 695 6336 ( land line with answ. mach.)
  14. well I am 78 now, but me and my nephew have replaced 5 of them so far... (he does most of the "work"). and I am a retired mechanic... and he is one. BUT this is not a difficult job... hard, yep!, but as Landar said, just pay attention to what you are doing, and be careful. we like to line it all up, mark it and then take it down and just put it back together. watch how much the cam gears "move" and just move them back as necessary. (thanks Micah for the pat on the back). you got a good quote, Jon charges 500$ when he can, less if necessary. most of ours have been family (2 were friends with LX models)
  15. Keep your hopes up!! there is no faith without them... Hebrews 11:1 King James Version (KJV) 11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. be blessed.
  16. your answer is: take the door panel off and LOOK.. then tell us what you find if you still need help.. and we can share our similar experiences with you.. there is no point in just guessing what all it "could" be.
  17. You must be thinking of taking a vacation to the UK Billy, we're 6 hours in front so a more reasonable 9.15 in the morning. I sure would like to, my dad's people came from Wales.. their original name was Powl , until England conquered them and it became Powell
  18. Oh WOW, that is great, I had looked for Sienna club & owners club, but missed this completely.... now let me read and get up to date.. thanks, THANKS thanks.. bp
