LOL i have dexron 3 with lube gaurd in it and have had it in there for 3 years...just got back from a 1400 mile trip....although type 4 is recommended by everyone here and im not telling u not to use it....but if u have dexron in it it will not cause the problems u r having....

check your local NAPA auto parts..tell them to cross this number over to echlin or crb 22270 50010

it has to be set with a feeler gauge and ohm meter....u need to know exactly what the specs are

celica urs is leaking at the sensor...i found one on ebay when i first bought mine cuz the sensor was bad

its not the wires or plugs or anything like that otherwise it would do it all the time.....things like tps,maf,iac are things that control air/fuel mixture and idling....maybe ur throttle body needs cleaning....just throwing out suggestions here

fix the heater control valve....about 100 dollars at the dealer, then see if u r losing fluid after u fix that

i had mine done a little over 2 years ago....i replaced everything, rack,pump and hoses....cost me somewhere between 1000-1500 dollars rack=400 pump=200 pressure hose=150 return hose about 35 but u can use tranny cooler line hose from Napa for a lot less on the return line then the labor...i think it was 3 hours or more for the rack, 1.9 for the pump, 1 hr. for the hoses, then u have the fluid...i also had mine flushed as soon as it was all together make sure u use power steering fluid and not dexron3 because of the anti foaming agents
