  1. reset the computer, light will go off....no biggie
  2. go to napa auto and get the ac/heater vent cleaner.....end of problem ....its called "KOOL IT" part number 96030 made by lube guard, google it...heres the link http://www.lubegard.com/automotive/radiator_foam.html
  3. have a fuel system cleaning service done, i had rough idling and had one done at the shop where i take my car,i think wynne's was used, but there are several good ones as well, like run-rite, its a type of I.V. system where it drips into ur intake and cleans out everything
  4. ya i would like to know this also, i know the wiring connector must be different, but will the seats mount up?
  5. they should all turn freely, u might notice a little difference in the alt or p/s but ur tensioner and idler should be free of noise and drag....if not there is ur problem that caused the belt to go bad, belts dont just shred or fray, unless a belt is cracked really bad they will not go bad
  6. the cel on an obd1 system will not tell u what exactly is wrong, it will only point u in the right direction, from there its a matter of testing and process of elimination
  7. there was a tsb about this very issue, its covered by lexus under warranty
  8. belt=bad tensioner, or some other failure of a pulley on ur system, check all pulleys with the belt off black soot could be a direct result of the stuttering problem, maybe a bad coil or coils, also u would have a cel coming on if u had a bad sensor
  9. first of all the struts do not control the ride height, ur coil springs do, now if u have a broken mount then of course that will have an adverse effect, but u would hear a clanking noise coming from the rear push down on the rear bumper a few times and see what happens, im not sure if the trailing arms would have any effect on this either, i would def take it to a suspension shop asap
  10. this has to be a fuel delivery,or an air flow problem..... if u had a bad sensor a check engine light would come on...keep us posted please also,if it doesnt do it when the mechanic is looking at it he might not be able to find the problem
  11. thats odd, make sure ur check engine light (cel) lights up when u turn the ignition switch on
  12. well any way u look at it ...the car is in great shape, btw i got my floor mats off ebay, i made sure they had the lexus logo and were the oem mats with the hook holes in them
  13. nice Ls bro.....get some Lexus floormats tho ;)
  14. have pep boys do it, they sell the parts on hand so there is no mark up in parts, they will then be responsible for the whole job and covered parts and labor for 1 year
  15. what code came up on the misfire? anyways i stand corrected
  16. i had this very issue come up and bought mine from pepboys, they had to put in 3 pumps before getting a good one, what u also need to know is the pump will leak onto the alternator and ruin it as well, i replaced all my components, rack and pinion, hoses and pump as well as the valve on the pump....its all good now
  17. if it were a leaned out misfire, but not a fouled plug or bad wire
  18. that would not throw a code on an obd1
  19. ya i have one major question.........WHAT CODE ARE U GETTING?????????????? SHEEESH ill bet its the knock sensor code...thats if i had to take a guess, also the ecu is the last thing u replace not the first
  20. that is probably the ugliest thing ive seen since i went to a bar and got really really drunk and woke up next to sasquatch
  21. ebay motors/LS400/SEAT COVERS
  22. how about the sensor located in the coolant overflow reservoir? that could be bad, also u say u have a leak in ur system, i suggest having a shop put a leak tester on the car, coolant leaks are nothing to fool around with, they only get worse....so unless u r only doing in town driving...have it looked at
