    dont think i would buy an alternator just yet....better have it looked at...you can have a system diag done that checks the starter,battery,and alternator

    sounds like u r low on coolant, check it in the morning before u start it up, most guys at the parts places dont know too much, some do but in general they are just order takers...i would call a shop before i would take advice from a parts guy,or just have it looked at if ur coolant is at the level it should be

    let me know when the genisis has hit 300,000 or more miles on a regular basis...until then the car isnt even in the same league

    not offended bro, its just u have so many threads started all over this forum that its hard to follow exactly what u r trying to accomplish, make one lenghty post, state everything that is wrong and dont leave any info out, then people can help, usually by pecking away at it...hope this helps u for future problems

    heater control valve located on the firewall, if its leaking, and they are famous for going out, then it will drip right down on the back of the motor (front of tranny)......thats my guess

    these are 18 inch stern yoshi rims....i also have fuzion 235-40-18's they are made by bridgestone and are great tires

    u can do mods on a gen 1, i have hids, h and r lowering springs, cross drilled rotors (about to get supra upgrade), billit grille, new interior, new rims and tires...i dont think the gen 2's are quite as good looking but the advancements in technology thats incorporated into the car are way better....meaning the interiors are nicer

    the fact is u can not compare cars or companies when one has time tested proven they are in the top auto makers when one hasnt, i would never buy a car thats in its first years of production, wait 5 years down the road and see what kind of reviews this car is getting....but right now....hyundai and lexus shouls not be in the same paragraph much less the same sentence
