by using all rubber, the pressure hose will flex as u turn and could cause problems with rubbing as it flexes...

what group size did u buy? 27? also i work at NAPA and our batteries are made by exide,which are pretty good, not the best but they are good, and they are warrantied for 18 months free replacement, 75 proration period....which is over 6 years and i think the 90 dollars u quoted was with the core included, u get 10 and some change back upon the return of ur old one......either way u look at it 61 dollars is a great price

i went through 3 pumps before i finally got a good one, also u should replace the valve by the pump....also get new hoses and have the rack checked, if u have a leakiy rack and u replace the pump and hoses it could cause contamination to get in the system and shorten the life of ur pump...i replaced all 3: pump,rack and hoses its a little expensive but once its done u r done with it for a long time

I would not recommend Jim Walker because of the bad experiences other members of this board have had with his services. I have not done business with him for that reason. I have never had the "flickering dash light problem", but I have done business with another company, Mikado Technology, that also repairs dash lights and was very impressed with them. well that being said, thats about as good as a recommendation can get....i have needles that dont light up all the way to the end of them, i would love to get them to work like new....maybe i will contact mikado, thanks

i would say ur alternator is out....the reason it restarted after u let it sit awhile is because a battery will regenerate itself somewhat if its not completely dead....have ur charging system checked out after u get ur battery charged up

I would not recommend Jim Walker. Just do a search for his name on this board. I believe Mikado Technology repairs dash lights also. I worked with them in the past, but never for that problem. My experiences with them have always been good. They have a small staff, work fast, and are good communicators. why would u not recommend jim walker?

i used to sell optima batteries when i managed PEP BOYS....it was the most problematic battery we carried, they suck in my opinion and they are over priced

remember a battery is only as good as its warranty...there are only a few different companies that make batteries, interstate does not make their own batteries,neither does napa,kragens,autozone,autolite,bosch,die hard, none of them...EXIDE,johnson controls (who make interstate), and there is one more i think but im not sure of the name, so dont get caught up in the name cuz its irrelivant
