  1. thanks for the reply glen, i need to know if i lower the car using tenabe df210, will the kyb's blow out sooner than the tokico's or is there another option i dont know of?
  2. READ ALMOST 50 TIMES AND NO RESPONSE FROM ANYONE....???????
  3. im getting some tenabe df210 springs and wanted some oppinions from people who have these springs.....should i use tokico blue or kyb or something else? any info would be greatly appreciated, i know tokico is more towards an oem ride and kyb is a little stiffer, i am kind of worried about blowing them out due to the lowering of the car...
  4. i believe these filters from toyotas rarely if ever need changing
  5. if ur car is running hot u could have blockage, get a heat gun and check various spots on ur radiator as well as throughout the engine, turn ur heater on high and see if it fluctuates in temp at all, ur temp gauge should be below half way just above the second line on the gauge....
  6. i have the same one on mine and it looks great
  7. then dont mess with it, take it to someone who knows what they are doing....shes in san fran and her dad is in LA and u r telling this person to have his daughter to go buy a tps (with out having it checked) and to put it on herself! lmfao, that spells disaster, she has no idea what shes looking at....so before u get all butt-hurt, think before you post and give some rediculous advice
  8. tps are checked with an ohm meter....there is a specific way to check this, do not loosen then eyeball it or try to find some sweet spot.....geezus people! put it in place then u put a certain size shim between the stop and the throttle cable lever and measure ohms between certain contacts on the tps ......get the instructions online.... just google it
  9. anyone who tells u not to resurface rotors when installing new pads does not know what they are talking about....deposits from old pads wear directly into rotors, in fact if the rotors are not resurfaced correctly they can also leave deposits from the rotor into the new pads, rotors are supposed to be washed with soapy water after they are resurfaced....so vmf guru member i suggest not posting and telling people to do things to their car that isnt correct, after all u cant be ASE certified if u r giving that type of advice also overheating rotors will leave heat checks in them and they can not be taken out by resurfacing.....if u do a job do it right the first time, this insures the parts u put on will last longer, less money in the long run
  10. always resurface rotors when installing new pads!!!! otherwise your new pads will have grooves in them that are cut by the rotors which will have grooves from wear by normal braking....80 dollars is way too much for resurfacing these, i can see 40 dollars tops
  11. theres also a box located in the trunk by the left hinge, pull the carpet back and its mounted upright with lots of wires going to it
  12. we need more info.....what has been done and how many miles ago.... off the top of my head....complete fluid change...brake fluid,p/s,tranny,rear end,oil,coolant....water pump, timing belt,ac service, front end, alignment, tires rotated and rebalanced....
  13. i have experienced this personally....get oem wires! they come with all the plastic pieces for proper routing as well as proper length which is so important when installing wires on these cars....go to the dealer
  14. ill post a part number and how much from where i work....how much did u pay?
  15. why would u get something as simple as a relay from an online vendor?
  16. look at what he says about american autoworkers! this is why this country is going down the drain...how can u build a car thats of quality when u r drunk or high?
  17. a cap is les expensive than an alternator
  18. let us know how it turns out, how easy or hard it was to remove it and so forth...thanks
  19. it was me...sorry it was KLK ....my bad i should have posted it in capitol letters...my ac compressor works great
  20. a friend of mine has a 92 and his tail lights are giving him problems, there is a box(with many wires going to it) mounted in the rear on the left of the sub woofer, i took mine out and placed it in his car and they all work fine.....where can i get one of these boxes for him? they are like close to 300 dollars at the dealer!
  21. have jim walker do it....hes the best at it and has the most experience and is probably cheaper and will send u instructions on how to remove it
