  1. in my opinion, the audi should not stand against the gs300. overall, the gs3 is a much superior car than the audi. well all know that the gs3 is a toyota aristo and that the audi a4 is like the equivalent to the volkwagon derby. the engines on these audi/volkswagons are not reliable as the toyota engine especially the 2jz. on top of that, the interior of the gs3 is much more plush oppossed to the audi a4 which has the identical interior as a volkswagon jetta or passat. if the two cars were side by side, the gs3 would definately get more attention. that's just a general factor in my opinion. so out of all this, go for the 00' gs3. good luck with your decision.
  2. on a personal note, the style of rim that mrsypher and I have on our cars are probably the best looking ones out there so far. but that's my opinion. good luck on your decision.
  3. i must agree with skperformance , cold air intake is the best way to go by a long shot. think of it this way, when you see guys run on the track, some of ice cubs inside their intake to run even colder air so they can get the most output they can from their block. so if you're running the cold air intake underneath your wheel well, the centricular force of your tire spin will automatically kick up the cold air that is circulating under your wheel well. but like skperformance posted, cold air will produce some power as oposed to the short air intake, which sucks a nut. good luck on your decision.
  4. Survive six rounds with me, standard initiation... sorry about the CAPS on the other post with the pics. didn't mean to have them on or to offend anyone. if you did get offended, my bad. i'm like notorious for the CAPS lock button being on all the time on the forums but just know, i don't do it on purpose. anyways, six rounds of what? fill me in. talk to you mods later.
  5. whoo hoo, i have a moderator on my side. but anyways, i had to back up what i posted in the past for everyone to see. so what do i have to do to become a moderator?
  6. TO FINALLY CLARIFY AND PROVE THAT I AM RIGHT ABOUT THE "GTE" Vs. "GTTE" I HAVE FOUND PROOF. LIKE I SAID IN THE PAST, I STAND FIRM WITH THE "GTE" READING ON THE STICKERS PLACED UNDER THE HOOD OF THESE CARS. "GTTE" DOES NOT EXIST... AND THERE YOU HAVE IT MY FRIENDS... OH YEAH, BTW, I DON'T SEE THE SECOND "T", DO YOU? HEE HEE... HAVE A GOOD DAY!
  7. hey what's up. i removed my stereo from my aristo and installed a panasonic dvd screen. the plate to cover the rest of the gaping hole was a custom piece of particle board and black spray paint to match the rest of the outside plastic trim. since the dvd player has a brain, i had to mount it in the trunk and connect everthing to the main wire harness that connects from your factory stereo to the factory amp. all i did was disconnect the wire harness and spliced into the existing wires and walla, my dvd player/screen plus all speakers work. the only extra piece of audio equipment i had to get was an amp to hook up to the factory sub. either than that, it's a piece of cake if you know the wiring. good luck with your project.
  8. well when you look at one fog light, you have a spacer on the inside. this is actually a plastic cover that is clipped on. depending if the clips are brittle or not, they will break off. well anyways, after that, there are two long bolts that hold the fog light in place. unscrew and the fog light should come off.
  9. i use eagle one leather cleaner/conditioner all around my seats. makes them feel brand new when i'm done with them.
  10. it sounds all good. is your car lowered or already lowered?
  11. lets see... at about 65 mph, mine runs under 3000 rpms, mid 3000 rpm sounds about right for 80mph
  12. can't we all just get along... just kidding, glad everything is squashed between lexus and honda
  13. are you ripping out the whole engine or are you replacing the short block? just curious. i would go with the original lexus hoses.
  14. i had the same problem with my gs and all i did was remove two slide pins from the tracks, played and adjusted the sun roof window, lined up the holes for the slide pins and tapped them back in. after that, no more air leak problems. i don't know if this will for your cars, but it was a suggestion.
  15. hey man, sorry to say but you don't have that button on your steering collumn. that's a first. yeah, on mine, there is a button that reads "auto" where you can push it and it will turn into manual mode. as another member suggested, try pushing in the joy stick, maybe that will do the trick. good luck.
  16. take it easy bro... we're looking out for the well being of other forum buddies here. we are not here to disrespect anyone but to help each other out as a team you know... just because we said that lowering a car with cut springs might not be the best way, doesn't mean you have to stand on your tide box and let hell break loose. these forums are designed for car enthusiast, in this case, LeXuS. of course almost all of know that lexus is just the upgraded version of toyota but it really doesn't matter what kind of car you really drive. like i said, we're here to help out each other and give our best responses. maybe you want to cut your springs because you think it's best or what ever, but that's your alternative. no here is stopping you. keep your cool.
  17. i have one being sent to me from japan and my contact is pretty reliable. are you looking into purchasing one? let me know what's up.
  18. you shouldn't worry too much about the nitrous as long as you don't get trigger happy on a daily basis. these engines can take about 5 to 600 hp without any extreme modifacations. the first thing that should go out when you go boost happy for a straight week are the piston rings, then the piston heads if they haven't melted yet or shot through your hood, but either than that, they will take 100 shot no problem.
  19. yeah, i would also expect that question on a honda forum as well. just save up some cash and get yourself some nice springs. don't ruin the lexus ride just because you want to go to a cheaper alternative. if you were thinking about cutting springs, then you should have not bought yourself a lexus. you'll just kill the name and disgrace the sc300.
  20. what's going on peepz. sorry about the pics being so big. it's still a cool pics i think. as for everyone else... i like you guys too. you guys are very knowledgeable and great lexus forum buddies. keep up the good work.
  21. so mrsypher, what can you get? i'm interested in gen 1 gs300 parts. let me know what's up
  22. so why did you change up your responses? Actually, in Japan they use both GTE and GTTE. TOyota-Factory uses the GTE designation for the Chaser, Cresta, and the Supra as it's GE Designator. The T in GTE refers to an optional single turbo(TRD) allowing it to produce 280bhp. GTTE refers to the twin Turbos avaible(Toyota Factory) on every Soarer, Aristo, Chaser, Cresta, Supra, and the 88 Denso Supra GT500 car. This information is courtesy from my friend working at Toyota Motor Corp. Japan. Actually, in Japan they use both GTE and GTTE. Even today, the guys in Japan use the GTTE designation instead of calling it jut GTE for the Twin setup. This information is courtesy from my friend working at Toyota Motor Corp. You have the same option, it's called "EDIT". The changes are just in case I didn't get my point across. Apparently I didn't. it's all good. i'm hear defending my end of what i know. no hard feeling eh... but as soon as you get your pics from your friend. let me know what's up. i would like to add that to my book of knowledge. good day to you.
