  1. ...and how... *signed*
  2. A few of the guys on CL did the ebay halo lights. One guy put some pictures up; they look pretty clean, imo. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=204055
  3. A set of most Tenzo R, Konig or Enkei 18's will run you about a grand. Including tires I don't think you'll be able to make it out under $1200.
  4. Lol, you bought a Turbonator?
  5. Keyless entry is kind of tough unless you've got some car electronics experience under your belt. You could try it yourself, but I would get someone who's done it before to at least coach you through it. Why not just bite the bullet and get an alarm upgrade while you're at it? This is the unit I'll be getting soon - http://www.clifford.com/Products/Product.aspx?ProductID=701
  6. Carpet really isn't that expensive, since it's generally just 1 cut/molded sheet for the whole cabin. You can probably replace your insulation and get quality cut-pile carpet + floor mats for around $300. http://www.stockinteriors.com/AutoCarpet.a...amp;ModelId=410 I'm not sure if the Supra mold will fit perfectly in the SC, but you can always get carpet by the yard instead.
  7. A set of Bridgestone RE960AS Pole-Position tires for the IS350 will run you upwards of $700. Even though they've got a 40k mile treadlife warranty, if you put 15k/yr on your car, you'll change all 4 tires at least once every 3 years. So a 5 year tire replacement warranty sounds reasonable as long as it's not more than $1500 or so and covers road hazards.
  8. I'm not positive, but I'm guessing suspension and maybe wheels/tires? I'll see what I can find on it. --EDIT-- Maybe there was an L-Tuned package for the IS300? That's the only possibility I could find.
  9. Congratulations on the SC - especially with such low miles! I can't tell you what maintenance needs to be done at 36k (I've never owned a car with such low mileage) but I can try to answer your other questions. Definately switch to synthetic. I personally use Mobil 1 5w30 Synthetic (~$20 for 5qt at Walmart). Other good synthetics are AMSOIL, Red Line and Royal Purple. As for the warranty, it's really up to you. You can get a 100k mile bumper-to-bumper warranty for $1500 or so on a SC, but if you take care of the car you might not have any issues until way later. The warranty will only cover parts if they fail, not regular maintenance. Anyway, I hope I could help a little, and keep us posted on the car!
  10. I wish I could help you, but I lost most of my Nissan bookmarks when I reinstalled Windows. My friend still has his 240sx though, so I'll see if he has any.
  11. As soon as I get $200 to spare, I'm buying a bottle. I've heard nothing but good things from people who have drank it overseas, and I really want a bottle of Jade Edouard 72 for my bottle collection. Anyone else tried the green fairy?
  12. So are you planning on selling the car once the conversion is done? I'm looking forward to a write-up on this, if you have time. I'm planning a 2jz-gte (built from an OEM shortblock by yours truly) swap so I'm looking for all the details/problems involved. Good luck, and I can't wait to see the finished project!
  13. Awesome! I've been thinking about giving my interior a complete makeover; mostly because I want black&white seats, and I figure I might as well match up the rest. I really like the leatherseats.com selection, and it's good to know they deliver on the quality as well. Now hurry up and post those pics so I can ogle them!
  14. heh, wire me the $4500 and I'll drop one in this week :P
  15. First off, glad you're here, goheels! Now, the problem with the 10yr/100k mile warranty is that everybody's got one now. Every car GM makes now has that warranty, and Dodge just introduced a Lifetime Drivetrain warranty. Hyundai got major business when they introduced the killer warranty, and the other companies definately noticed. Now Hyundai has had to step up their craftsmanship in order to stay somewhat competitive, and they've got a ways to go before they're up there with Toyota (the second largest auto company in the world). But I agree that they've really improved over the last few years, and I might even consider buying a Tuscani over a Civic Si... ...oh wait, I drive a Lexus! Nevermind :D
  16. I just hit 125 for the first time in my SC last night... the fact that I was getting beaten by a Neon SRT-4 kinda ruined it for me though :( Really need to get some more top end...
  17. If you go to the Lexus site, click "Owners" at the top right of the page, it'll ask you to log in or register as a Lexus Owner or a Lexus Enthusiast. After you register as an owner, you get stuff like free hotel upgrades or lift tickets at ski resorts, complimentary spa treatment, discounted green fees at Pebble Beach, etc. If you sign up for the Lexus Visa card, the rewards program that comes with it gives you 1 point for every $5 you spend (standard rewards deal) but it works at Lexus Dealers so you can use the points on tune-ups or maintenance if you want. Since I use a credit card to cover my monthly expenses (easy to budget) that means a buttload of free Lexus stuff :D
  18. DrPepper and Cheez-Its It's like a flavor explosion in my mouth. :D
  19. I used nicoclub when I had my 240sx. That site is a godsend.
  20. Nah, don't use Ferrari, they're way too bulky. I'd just as well hammer in the firewall a bit and drop in the VQ35TT from the new Nissan GTR. B) Lexus > 500hp + 6-spd =
  21. Dude, registering as a Lexus Owner on the lexus.com site is probably one of the best decisions of my life. You get tons of disounts, not to mention if you have the Lexus Visa card (the only card I use) it basically means free dealer service for life.
  22. SC300 = $6000 Modifications = $14000
  23. Kind of... I was 19 at the time, but I have to admit, aside from a few bruises it was pretty fun.\ And yes, beanbag chairs can be used for more than relaxation ;)
