  1. Go to that website. You can change year and model number and use the parts menu on the left side. I just ordered p/s pump, dist cap and rotor from them.
  2. support strut assembly You need these. $80.00 each.
  3. The tips on my SC300 are held in place with a screw. You could call a salvage yard and get tips that way. Aftermarket tips would proably fit but you may have to improvise.
  4. Pull the fuse for the ECU and reset trbl codes. Then wait a day or two and recheck to see if codes are back.
  5. Any clue why it drained? If it's older than 3 years it could be the battery. If not you probably need an alternator. Get a Sears DieHard.
  6. I replaced mine with Denso Iridiums. If you have a SC300 you have to pull off throttle body intake to get to center plugs.
  7. I replaced headlights, high beams, fog lights and turn signals with Silverstars. Brighter and whiter. Turn signals have a rainbow hue when off, looks neat.
  8. 14 mm socket to remove belt and two p/s pump bolts. Pliers to remove hose clamp and 22 or 24 mm socket to remove banjo bolt. I didn't have one but found that a 7/8" socket worked. Only thing you'll need is ATF to refill the pump.'
  9. Pull the door panel off and check the door handle mechanism. My pass. side won't open from the outside. There is a little plastic clip that holds lock rod in outside handle and it's broken. There is a similar arrangement from the inside handle
  10. I replaced my powersteering pump yesterday along with a new distributer cap and rotor. I have the Lexus manual and for this job it was worthless. It is straight forward though. Remove accessory drive belt, remove two bolts that secure pump and one bolt that secures hoses and a hose clamp. I jammed a screwdrive through the pulley and removed the pulley nut while still on the car. Put pulley on new pump and bolted back in. Topped off with fresh ATF. No more moaning from the pump. I got the parts from Hoy-Fox Toyota. Ordered on Monday, received parts on Wednesday. $303.12 for a new pump, Checker wanted $250.00 for a rebuilt.
  11. I replaced my driver's side door speaker with a new Nakamichi that I got from member PIONEERSUBY. $50.00 plus shipping. Give him a IM.
  12. I replaced all of my lights including the turn signals. Looks great. You won't be disappointed.
  13. Could be the motor mounts as you suspect or the timing belt could be of a few teeth.
  14. I called Hoy Fox Toyota and got the $1,050.00 price. I just checked their website and it shows $303.27. Interesting.
  15. I noticed a moaning noise while driving yesterday. The sound pitch increases with more throttle. I isolated the noise to the power steering pump. Called Lexus, "$1,050.00 for a new pump, not rebuilds available!" That made my day. :cries:
  16. From Intellexual.net: Compatible Supra parts for the SC300/400 Supra wheels will fit the SC coupe perfectly; However, the offset is slightly less in Supra wheels (Lexus +50mm, Supra +38mm). This is not a substantial enough difference to create steering issues, but the wheels will look like they are tucked in by a little under an inch. This difference can be remedied with H&R 15mm spacers. Supra TT wheels are 17x8F and 17x9.5R, while the Supra NA wheels are 16x7.5. Both sizes are offered in chrome, polished aluminum, and silver finishes. Any OEM and aftermarket suspension designed for the MKIV Toyota Supra will also work with the SC coupe. This includes all Supra coilover packages. Ony thing you must consider when shopping for Supra lowering spring packages: you must swap the entire strut-spring assembly from the Supra rear end, not just the springs. Meaning if you purchase Eibach Supra Prokits, you must also purchase Supra-compatible strut shocks, because the rear strut perch on the Supra sets lower than the rear strut perch on the SC. If you attempt a Lexus shock with a Supra spring, you will actually lift the rear end of the car higher than stock. The front struts are the same on both cars however. You have the option of buying the OEM Supra shocks (cheapest), or aftermarket Tokico, KYB, etc shocks. It is recommended that you replace all four shocks together for uniformity, instead of just the rears if you go this route. Supra NA and TT shocks will fit the SC300 and SC400 fine. You do not have to worry about these compatibility issues when you buy Supra coilovers. Supra OEM front and rear sway bars will fit the SC coupes provided that you use the Supra end link mounts - (info provided by PCMW). The stock Lexus sway bars have completely different end links. Supra OEM control arms can be interchanged with SC control arms. Supra braking systems will fit the SC coupes as a direct bolt-on provided that you use 17x8-inch wheels or larger with the proper offset. These are very large brake calipers, which require specific offsets to clear. You want at least 2 mm or more clearance between the calipers and the backside of the wheel spokes. It is not recommended that you compensate by shaving the brake caliper, and definitely not the wheel spokes. Supra braking systems will not fit on the SC300 or SC400 with stock Lexus wheels mounted. The Supra TT Torsen 3.76:1 Limited-slip differential bolts up to the SC300/400 rear axle as well. The TRD performance panel air filter made for the Toyota 4Runner and Supra (Part #: 00602-17801-002) will work with the SC coupes. These TRD filters nearly double the air flow capabilities of the stock intake system when combined with the Peter Scott BFI intake. The front seats from a Supra directly bolt-on to the SC although you lose powered lumbar adjustment. 93-95 Supra seats are different from 96-98 Supra seats. Incidentally, you can also use stock Honda S2000 seats in the Supra and SC coupe.
  17. I had a magnaflow cat-back on my Corvette. They claim 20 hp but it was too loud for me. Didn't notice any difference with 1/4 mile times. Put the stock back on and I can now hear the radio. I wish someone would come up with an electric fan kit. I used a black magic kit on my S-10 Blazer and there was an appreciable difference in throttle response and gas mileage..
  18. Get the RX330 instead. A baby seat is only going to work for a year or two and then what? The rear seat on a SC430 is for insurance purposes, two seater = sports car.
  19. When I bought my 95 it had 90,000 miles. I started using Mobil 1. A few weeks ago when it turned 103,000 I switched to Amsoil. You shouldn't use synthetic oil to break in an engine. After about 10,000 it's ok to use synthetic or even switch back and forth between the dino and the synthetic.
  20. I would guess that the exhaust would start after the second cats. Changing the converter would be labor intensive. Maybe 4 or more hours. Cheapest mod other than the BFI would be an electric fan.
  21. Three of the four screws line up perfectly. I left the fourth one out.
  22. I changed out my fog lights with the Silverstars also. There is an adjustment to raise the beam. I turned mine up about three turns and raised the beam pattern.
  23. I replaced my front driver's side speaker with a Nakamichi 4" and it sounds great. Got it from member PIONEERSUBUY for about $50. I am considering changing the rest of them. Has a built in tweeter!
