  1. Might be the power steering pump. Have someone in the car and start it while you look/listen at the pump. Another guess would be the belt tensioner.
  2. Stock wheel offset is 50mm. You could use spacers to get the 50mm spacing. It's doubtful you would notice the slight change in offset. Make sure the new wheels clear your rotors.
  3. Did you try this: Bleeding Air From Power Steering Pump: info provided by lexcoupe94: STEP 1: Check power steering fluid level. Fill if necessary. STEP 2: Warm up the car 5 minutes or so to heat up the power steering fluid. STEP 3: Jack the front end up and prop up on jackstands so that the wheels turn free. STEP 4: Take off the power steering fluid reservoir cap and stuff a rag around the reservoir to catch any fluid. STEP 5: With the car running, turn the wheel full left and right about 10 times, then straighten wheels and check fluid. STEP 6: If fluid level is down, fill to proper hot level and turn full left and right 10 more times. STEP 7:Repeat until no more air or fluid burps out. STEP 8:Lower wheels back down and recheck fluid.
  4. Ebay comes to mind. You might call the city where this happened and tell them the location of the road damage. I would file a report with the police dept, also. My wife's hood was dented by a piece of rebar that was kicked up by the car in front of her. They said there was no report of debris on the road and therefore weren't responsible. It's worth a try.
  5. It's my understanding that when in park and you touch the brake you are allowing the transmission to disengage from park. It's a safety feature.
  6. I just got a reference for Dash cluster repair. Carey at Advanced Auto Electronics Building 301 Midlothian, VA 23113 866-427-1112 I was given this reference by automotive@unitedradio.com. They did the repair on my dash cluster from my 1988 Corvette. I inquired if they did Lexus repairs thus the referral.
  7. I'd guess your switch is toast or a wire broke off.
  8. When all else fails, there is your friendly Lexus dealer. $$$$$
  9. You might have a motor or transmission mount going bad.
  10. Amp is in the trunk under the cd player. I think it's about 180 watts.
  11. Check out turbo's. My nephew does the fabrication and welding on the exhaust manifolds. Give them a call.
  12. Get the Lexus shop manuals (there are 3, find them on Ebay all the time) and go from there. Start reading all the posts here. What color is your car? Post some pictures if you are able. Sounds like a great project.
  13. I got a slightly used one off Ebay. If you have the original you could have one made at an upholstry shop using yours as a guide.
  14. I have a pair of rear Supra TT rotors and calipers. Make me an offer!
  15. Start reading all the posts here. Make sure everything works. When you look at a future purchase take a friend to help you keep things in perspective. Just because you like the color doesn't mean it's the right car.
  16. There are three cables going to the throttle body (automatics). One goes to gas pedal, one to cruise control, and the last to the transmission. It has an adjustment at the throttle body bracket. The cable stretches over time. Do the tighten up!
  17. I had a similar problem and I adjusted the transmission kick down cable. You can get a used ECU from recycling yards or off Ebay.
  18. When the check engine light comes on that is a harbinger of a possible trouble. You will then have to check for trouble codes and proceed from there. Sorry to say that there is no common problem when the CEL comes on.
  19. I have heard you can slip a credit card under the front and back of the washer and pop it off. I would then disconnect the hose and soak the jets in vinegar to dissolve the crud.
  20. You're living dangerously if you leave that bigger fuse in. Possibilty of an electrical malfunction or fire is greatly increased.
  21. I looked at the electrical wiring diagram for a 95 and the wireless ecu appears to be under the rear window shelf. When I bought my 95 I had the dealer make me a master. They used the VIN# to cross reference the chip. I'm assuming the 92 would be similar.
  22. my 95 beeps twice when it is unlocked, once when it is locked.
