  1. Here you go http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/lighting/bulbout.html
  2. Hi, You may get away with just the battery replacement,if not there is a reset proceedure. Also inside the car near to the trunk release is a switch marked "remote on/off" make sure this is in the on position when trying the key. I had the same problem when I bought my LS and the battery sorted it and it has been working without problems for over 4 years now.
  3. Sounds like the door switch,it is mounted under a rubber cover 3" below and opposite the chrome door latch on the rear of the door frame. Pull back the rubber cover which will expose the fastening screws. Make sure the wire doesn't disappear thru the hole if you remove the connection from the switch. If you have a wet roof lining check the moonroof drain holes located at the front corners when the roof is opened.
  4. The wire can break inside the insulation so may not be visible, stretching the wire should show where the break is,if in doubt cut the section out and replace.
  5. It could be the selector switch on the shift playing up,maybe dirty intermittent contacts try some switch cleaner lube type spray on it
  6. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  7. Also check the EGR pipe for fractures and the wheel bearings maybe
  8. Hi, But is it up to the MAX mark?
  9. Hi, Can you not take it back to the tint shop and ask them to reconnect the the wiring they removed and didn't refit?
  10. All sounds good to me,the offset is 45 on both the LS and SC rims,PCD is the same, fit them and roll!
  11. Been asked a few times now but no they won't fit the PCD has been changed from 114.3 to 120.00
  12. 14 months that's a long time getting a radio out
  13. Agree don't loosen the thermostat there is a nut you can remove on the housing, also agree on the heater valve easy to check put the heat on full and feel both pipes are hot and see if the thing operates mechanically.
  14. Hi and welcome to the LOC. You are fortunate in that the engine is non interference so there should be no other damage, when you say you broke the belt was it overdue for replacement? Have a look at the 2 timing belt tutorials on the link below, there are timing marks on the crankshaft pulley and on the camshaft pulleys plus the new belt should have markings for realignment. This is not an easy job and I would buy a CD ROM manual from ebay before beginning the work which should show all you need. If you don't feel confident get a decent repair shop to do the job. http://www.lextreme.com/tech_maintenance.html
  15. It's only the Brits that drive on the left in Europe Billy,I think the Swedish also did but changed over many years ago.
  16. I have the EGR pipe as 25601-50010.
  17. I asked to see what the dealer was using but they refused,I will have another try when I next go.
  18. Times on changing the pipe vary from 45 minutes (this was a Lexus dealer using a modified wrench!) up to 4 hours, thankfully as mine is a JDM import it's a job that I will never have to do.EGR is not fitted in Japan :)
  19. They are not easy to remove/refit but some members have successfully welded the break which is normally in the concertina section,it has also been mentioned in the past that worn engine mountings can cause it to fracture so have a look at these too.
  20. It looks correct make sure the battery is fully charged, and the throttle is fully closed. I think the OD switch only needs to be pushed in for transmission codes. Is this the tutorial you are using? http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/intro/codereading.html
  21. According to the specifications they will fit PCD is correct and the offset is correct you may need some spigot rings as the bore is not mentioned but they are cheap enough, good job you and the seller are both in Dubai as they wouldn't be cheap to fly anywhere.
  22. Hi, have a look on ebay.com for breakers or try local breakers,if no luck we have a guy in the UK that supplies used LS parts and he may ship to you.
  23. Have you tried lubricating the hinges and check strap? Spray on white grease is very effective and not as messy as conventional wipe on grease.
  24. That attitude will help you get a sub woofer I'm sure!
  25. When my CD changer went down I removed it and fitted an in dash single din JVC unit keeping the stock door speakers. The original sub was then powered by a separate sub amplifier mounted where the changer was, it did however have adjustable impedance so drives the 2 Ohm sub fine.
