I recently repaired on my own the back light issue on the instrument cluster. I also replaced the climate control panel with a refurbished unit at the same time. After it was done the outside temperature reading is fixed on -22 and never changes. Also I have no real temperature control unless i put it on max cold. My question is actually multiple questions. Is the outside temperature fed directly to the cluster or the Heater control panel and then to the cluster? Does the climate control account for outside temperature? OR Is there something stupid I may have left unhooked? Any suggestions would be of great help.

My 94 ls400 recently lost power and went into a limp mode. was able to get home. This occured 5 minutes after i went to jiffy lube. I checked the oil and all is fine. Check engine light came on and trac light. I am trying to activate the diagnostics and followed the published procedures used a a short wire, paper clip and can't get it into diagnostic mode. I have the car in neutral, ac off, radio off, od button pushed in. Am I missing something?
