  1. Part number you have is for, I believe, is for 1998 LS. The 95 LS has a different part number, which is 16620-0w035. If you can get away with just changing the pulley, then you should be fine as the pulleys are the same.
  2. Just buy four decent snow tires and you'll be all set, like some speed rated Blizzak LM25s. It is after all a rear wheel drive car. Its funny how times have changed. We've been driving front wheel drive cars for so long, people, particularly the newer generations, have forgotten there was a time when cars were primarily rear wheel drive. I can still remember as a kid, my father would put on snows on his Olds Cutlass in the winter. Here in the northeast right now, we're doing alot of winter tire change overs. We're changing over LS400/LS430/LS460, GS, IS, etc.
  3. You can also try here... www.thelexuscollection.com The merchandise is sometimes limited and does change.
  4. Only audio cds can be ripped to the hard drive.
  5. Before even doing a mod like you want, you may want a few things. The current seats have side airbags built into them, which means you lose that safety feature and you get a nice light on your dashboard. Your vehicle was crash tested with you current seat, so any modification would be risky if not dangerous.

  7. Paper manuals aren't used much anymore in shops. Everything is pretty much on line. Toyota offers online access on a subscription basis. Its primarily for outside service shops, but I believe private individuals can access it too. techinfo.toyota.com
  8. Amplifier is to the far right of the dashboard in the vicinity of the cd changer. May not be able to see it from under the dash, so you may have to remove the glovebox. Not 100 percent sure you can even get a replacement from the dealer since Lexus no longer provides support for Nakamichi components. Repair support was provided through Pioneer and they were ending support as soon as they ran out of parts.
  9. Make sure your phone software is up to date and set device to "trusted". Not sure why Blackberry would send you to Lexus for phonebook issue. Should have sent you to Verizon. If you check Verizon's website, you'll see that the 8130 only supports handsfree, headset, and serial port bluetooth profiles. Esentially no file transfer. Though you can't transfer the phonebook, do you have the option of transferring single contacts?
  10. Halogen bulb headlamps only have one screw for adjustment, as the lo beam and hi beam move as one unit. HID setups have two screws becuase the lo and hi beam reflectors are separate.

  12. The Goodyears are considered by many to be noisiest of the two tires that came with the vehicle. The other tire, Michelin MXV4 S8, is much quieter.
  13. Version 7.1 is the newest update and is available now.
  14. Flasher relay is in the driver side junction block ( next to your left leg).
  15. They do recommend putting it on the trunk for best reception. The antenna is actually quite small now, not like the previous version which was rather large and ugly. Why don't you ask them to show you what the antenna looks like. Another possibility would be to ask them if they could install the antenna in the back shelf. Some people have done that without reception issue. Personally I prefer outside. FYI, the antenna is taped down, not magnetic which I'm not too crazy about.
  16. Yes the XM tuner is installed in the trunk, technically the right quarter panel next to the radio amplifier. You won't see it. Whats the concern?
  17. First thing I would suggest would be to have the Lexus Link removed. Lexus issued a recall awhile ago, and recently sent out a reminder letter to have the Lexus Link removed. The Lexus Link in your car is analog based and will soon no longer be available as everything has gone digital. FYI, your system can not be upgraded.
  18. The $5250 price is a littlte dramatic and not the total story. That price is for a new one. Most people are provided an exchange/remanufactured unit which costs, probably just under $2K for the nav computer. The only time a person would be quoted that higher price would be if they asked for a new unit or if the unit in the car was physically damaged, water damaged, or tampered with which voids the exchange/remanufactured price.
  19. It could also be a bad bearing.
  20. I believe the navigation computer is under the passenger front seat.
  21. XM antenna is not built in, whatever that means. It's added to the outside of the vehicle, pretty much like all cars I've seen. Some have moved the antenna to the inside rear deck, but that would be difficult for the RX. Both the XM andSirius antenna are pretty small. Not sure why some people complain about it. Has anyone seen the antenna on the GM vehicles? Thats ugly.
  22. In the trunk, passenger side quarter panel, toward the front.
  23. If you are referring to a lamp failure light on your dash, it could mean that there is a failure in the lamp failure indicator sensor. I believe the sensor is located in the trunk. Its referred to as a sensor, but looks more like a relay.
  24. 20 is for the solar sensor circuit. 21,22,23,24 is for the ABS actuator solenoid circuit. No clue on the other codes.
  25. You replaced the wrong sensor. Bank 2 Sensor 1 is in front of the engine. Its in the front engine manifold.
