  1. Sounds like the throttle w/sensor lever assembly as referred to in the parts catalog. Its attached to the the throttle body. It lists for under $300. Try this number 22060-50011. Looking up air fuel sensors for an ES300 does suck. Up here people use the terms air fuel and oxygen sensor interchangeably, plus the crappy catalog we use doesn't help. The worst one though I would have to give to the IS300 inline 6. Trying to figure which oxygen sensor is a nightmare if you can't read the number off the old one.
  2. Palms seem to be hit or miss when it comes to bluetooth compatibility. I've just noticed all Palm phones have been removed from the Lexus bluetooth site. I remember the 650 was on the site, and I thought the 700 was also, but they're both completely removed. Even Palm admits their bluetooth has issues, but new update for the 700 is coming out soon. http://treocast.treocentral.com/PalmResponseLetter.pdf
  3. I love how people jump to conclusions that the dealer is ripping them off, based on the word of a "trusted" mechanic. It doesn't take much effort to use the resources at a hand such as this forum or better yet call the the dealer and get the price from them. I've been in the business over ten years, and I do have people calling all the time to check on parts price, but then again I'm in the northeast and we're not too trusting up here. The problem is that people assume the mechanic thay take their car to is knowledgeable. Trust me, the majority are not. If you do find a good one, grab hold for dear life, because they are worth their weight in gold, because they are a rare commodity. If only people could hear some of the conversations we have, its like a comedy sometimes. Here's an example, last week we had a shop call for an "intake exhaust"!!! Sometimes the mechanics ask for the wrong part or don't even know what to ask for. Best advice is use your resources. We live in the Information Age.
  4. There is no option to transfer songs. Songs can only be ripped from CDs. There is no usb connection, and it will not rip mp3s/wma from a cd. The cd changer can play mp3s/wma, but will only rip audio CDs. As for the album, track name, genre, the CDDB database is actually on the hard drive already. Unfortunately no album art that I can see. Would be cool if it could display the album art. Since the database is on the hard drive and no way to access the internet to update, the only way to update the database is to bring it back to the dealer, but you do have the option to manually edit the information.
  5. You may want to check out the Blackberry forums. Might be an issue with the 8700 bluetooth. If you do a search, you'll find that the 8700 seems to have a disconnect problem with headsets and cars. Updating the 8700 software doesn't seem to help. Good luck.

  7. Are you saying the certified car you bought didn't come with a nav dvd?
  8. The "2006" update covers up to 2005. It retails for $250.00 and is not covered under your warranty.
  9. Its not bluetooth. The phone is integrated to the car through a cradle.
  10. First let me say that I work at a dealership. I've worked both luxury and non luxury. For the GX470, we "charge" 7 qts for the oil service. Now that doesn't mean the technician puts in 7 qts. He will fill it to the fill line, which is probably 6.5 qts anyway. Here is the simple reason why we do this and and its the same reason it was done at the nonluxury dealership I worked at. The computer only recoqnizes whole numbers. Strange as it may sound, the numbers have to be rounded up. I'm sure some people would suggest it should be rounded down, but if it was their business, I doubt they would round down. Thats how we did at the places I work, so I can't can't speak for other places.
