  1. You may want to check the seal around your sunroof glass also.
  2. I was wondering if any owners with the factory satellite radios have been able to add programs from the other service such as adding NFL or Howard Stern to XM or MLB to Sirius.
  3. Yes the upgrades are ridiculously expensive, and the maps aren't that good. Only thing I don't understand is why. There are really only two digital map makers in the world, Navteq and Telenav. They provide the digital maps to car manufacturers, portable gps devices, cellphones, and online mapping services. Not sure what complaining to Lexus will get you except maybe some freebies. I doubt the maps will get fixed any faster as some old streets never seem to get added. Any map discrepencies should be sent to the above mentioned companies. Complaining here or to Lexus is not going to get the maps fixed any faster.
  4. Under the front passenger seat.
  5. Caller ID generally show up if the caller hasn't block their Caller ID. Phones have the option of hiding their Caller ID if they don't want to send it. Another possibilty is it could be a network issue. My sister is on the same network as me and her number is in my phonebook, yet once in awhile my phone will only show her number and not her name.
  6. There is no provision/procedure by or through Lexus to reflash the earlier transponder designs. It can only be done through a third party.
  7. First, in order to get the correct part and information, it would help if the vehicle information is correct. There is NO 2003 RX330. The part number you received, 08930-48010 is for a RX300. Some of the information people are providing here pertains to a RX330, different vehicle with different parts and part numbers.
  8. I'm kind of curious how cosmoline got onto vehicle as cosmoline is used primarily for firearm preservation.
  9. Not true. The IS300 ECU, since 2002, can be reprogrammed with a new security key code.
  10. For the 95 ES, the remote was on the corner of the key. Its just a single button.
  11. Probably the ambient temperature sensor.
  12. Unfortunately no. I would recommend checking out Weathertech.com
  13. OEM install requires two kits. The tuner and a fit kit. The fit kit has the brackets and wire harness. Did your tuner kit come with the wire harness and bracket?
  14. I agree. See your dealer. No way, it should take that long. If I had to take a guess, it sounds like the automatic brake hold is not releasing when accelerating.
  15. P1130 and P1150 refer to the two air fuel ratio sensors. Those are the front oxygen sensors, one in each manifold. P0141 refers to the heated/downstream oxygen sensor, next to the catalytic converter in the mid/center pipe. P0171 probably is refering to your mass air flow meter in the the engine air cleaner.
  16. The Nak Musicbox is not a factory setup. You may want to consider replacing it, as the Nak brand hasn't been seen in the US in quite sometime.
  17. Technically thats not what happens. It doesn't shut down power. That would be like turning off your engine. The traction control is selectively applying the brakes to stop the spinning wheel, then should send power to the other drive wheel with the better traction. My car, not a Lexus, has the same feature and it does kind of suck. One second your trying to accelerate, then suddenly you come to a quick deceleration as the brakes apply. Best things to do are turning off the TRAC, like you stated, or ease off the accelerator pedal.
  18. You could lube it, but thats more of a temporary fix. Just look where the steering column goes to the floor. Its a u joint.
  19. My guess would be the intermediate shaft of the steering column. Its the joint that connects to the rack.
  20. The 1999 GS400 didn't use a dvd based system. It uses a hard drive and the last update was from July 2004. You're better off spending the money and get a Garmin or Tom Tom.
  21. Flasher relay is under the dash, just to the left of steering column. Another possibility is it could a bad turn signal switch/stalk.
  22. It neither the compressor nor computer. Its most likely the rear height sensors need to be replaced.
  23. Sounds like a cam position error code.
  24. The throttle control motor is on the throttle body.
  25. Sounds like you may have the incorrect mats for the vehicle. Are you sure you have the ES350 set and not the ES330 set?
