  1. I would check with dealer to make sure its out of warranty. Like I said, your emissions warranty is longer than your basic warranty. Ask them if your emission warranty is still in effect and if your B2S2 sensor would be covered. Another thing to consider is that the light is coming on for another reason. Are you getting the same code? It isn't clear in your earlier statement.
  2. Unfortunately Palm has bluetooth compatiblity issues. Their bluetooth is totally hit or miss. Even if you could get the Treo to pair with the car, connection may not be reliable. It may disconnect on its own. You may want to try some the Palm forum sites such treocentral for more tips. Also I would recommend going to the Palm website and download any updates for your phone. Attached is a link to a letter from Palm in response to a customers complaint about its bluetooth and other bugs. Its dated the end of last year, but at least Palm admits to its issues. Unfortunately the issue has been around since Treo 650 days. http://treocast.treocentral.com/PalmResponseLetter.pdf Good luck.
  3. It is true that any parts replaced by Lexus is normally cover under 1 year or 12,000 miles, which you have exceeded, but this situation is different because you're talking about your emission system. Emissions warranty are much longer than your basic warranty. You may want to check your warranty booklet. It will give the length of your emissions warranty and provide list of whats cover. Since your vehicle is about 5 years old with only 39k miles on it, you're probably still under the emissions warranty. My state goes by the California emission standard so our warranty is a little different (longer).
  4. There is only FM1 and FM2, but there is also a "FM Type" also available, which seems to come on when you hit the RDS button. Maybe that's what you're thinking about.
  5. FYI, P0420 refers to the catalyst system. If it comes back on, check your front and rear oxygen sensors. Worst case would be a catalytic converter.
  6. You would need to talk to your Lexus dealership to get a price for installation. The kit alone is $300. The kit essentially is the satellite tuner, antenna, and hardware, thats installed in the trunk.
  7. The Sat button only works if the car has the XM radio kit installed. Sounds like the car doesn't have the XM system installed. Easiest way to tell would be to see if you see a satellite antenna mounted on the car or in the car. Dealer would install the antenna on the trunk, but some owners prefer mounting on the rear deck by the rear glass.
  8. Unfortunately the radio exchange program is for product defects only. Physical damage such as screen scratch, water damage, tampering, and corrosion is not cover under the program. If a dealer even tries to return a damaged one, the dealer will get charged the price for a new one, so therefore thats why you got quoted the high price. You admit the screen is scratched, physical damage, so I'm not sure why you insist the service and district manager has to see it. A scratch is a scatch, there is no degree of scratch. You have to understand, the dealer and Lexus has no control over the repair center. There is no appeal process. We're basically at their mercy. First thing is be NICE to the district manager and anybody else you contact. Having an attitude will get you nothing. Remember, you're the one who needs help, so don't bite the people can help you. FYI, the navigation screen is through Denso, its the the audio system thats through Pioneer.
  9. Those prices are pretty good, alittle under what we sell them for. Unfortunately the glass alone is ridiculously expensive. Probably due to the fact its heated and auto dimming.
  10. Only the new LS shows tire pressure in the instrument cluster.
  11. Go to the Lexus website and register you car in the owners area. Once registered you should find a link to order the owners manual, which I believe is no charge to you.
  12. Something kind of odd, that you have tire sensors, but ro reset switch or tire selector switch. I can't find anything that says early production models are missing those features. Its funny, but I found the diagnostic flowchart for the low tire pressure light, and the first thing it tells you to do is to check the tire selector switch.
  13. My ES350 (2007) is at the dealer now having Sirius installed (again). Be aware that, according to the assistant service manager, the installation instructions call for the antenna to be placed INSIDE the vehicle, either on the windshield or rear window. This is in direct contradiction to Sirius' instructions. Initially, my antenna was placed next to the rear view mirror and, as a result, I kept losing the signal. The dealer is now trying to relocate the antenna on the outside of the car. Has anyone had similar issues? Not sure what you mean by contrary to Sirius instructions. If you have the Lexus installed Sirius kit, the antenna has always been installed on the windshield per instructions as the antenna that comes with the kit only works on the windshield. I do agree with you that the antenna and its mounting is less than ideal. Reception can be sporadic or weak. If your dealer is going to mount an antenna on the outside, they're going to have to use a different antenna. We did the same thing on a 2006 GS with Sirius. We just removed the windshield antenna and replaced it with an external antenna, which I think we installed on the trunk. Worked much better.
  14. Actually mehullica is correct. The radio antenna is in the back glass. It even mentions it in your owners manual on page 186, second bullet under reception sensitivity.
  15. I would also suggest checking inside your glove box. The car allows for two sets of tires and theres a switch in the glove box that determines which set of tires to look for. It could have been accidently set to 2nd instead of main.
  16. That is correct. There is no adjustment on the rear camber. Adjustments are made by replacing the camber arm. They come in three different lengths.
  17. I think I saw it on Crutchfield, but was out of stock. I agree, Toyota seems to be a littl ebehind the Europeans and even the Americans. On Chysler, they have a usb port, as well as Ford. The Ford Sync system looks very cool.
  18. Good point about the "acc" position. Also, did you happen to have anything plugged into the lighter (i.e. cell phone charger)? I would have thought that the car cuts power to the lighter when "off", but perhaps it doesn't if it was in "acc" mode. Let us know how the new battery works out. Good point on the cig lighter thing. We see alot of cheaply made phone chargers shorting out fuses or creating electrical noise.
  19. Thats the fuel pressure pulsation damper. Not sure why its leaking, but there are two thin metal washers that you want check that are on the damper.
  20. I would agree its not the smartkey. I would say its its most likely a bad battery, probably a bad cell. I wouldn't say its 100 percent a bad battery, just most likely, because it not uncommon for todays cars to drain its battery just sitting in the driveway. The battery will discharge on its own and there is a small charge powering your cars electronics. We have to every so often charge up the batteries on cars we have in our showroom because they aren't driven. I've seen other dealers hook their showroom cars to trickle chargers so they don't have to jump start them. I'd wait and see how the new battery holds up. If it doesn't, I'd recommend gettig a trickle charger.
  21. The cool box only seems to work when the rear air conditioning system is on. Is yours on?
  22. I agree, the reception using the sigma antenna is kinda weak. We installed a few Sirius in 2006 before they got pulled. One of the installs was on a 2006 GS. It came back with same issues as yours, reception problem. The technician drove the car around our building, and we're not in the city or a big dealership, the radio dropped reception three times. I have a plug and play with a small magnetic antenna on my trunk and have no problems on the route. We also initially did the same repair, install a new unit, but it didn't help. We finally installed an external antenna. The difference was amazing, like night and day. Just for your information, we used a factory external Sirius antenna from an LX470. The LX was the only vehicle that offered an external Sirius antenna. Forgot which Toyota vehicles use the same external antenna, RAV? or Highlander?. The antenna through the dealer is a little pricey though.
  23. Its true that Verizon disables file sharing in its bluetooth protocol and has always had the worst experience with the Lexus bluetooth, but its not all bleak for you as you have a newer model Lexus. Some of the Verizons phones will transfer contacts to the newer Lexus. Just go through the list and see which one will allow contact transfer. http://lexusbluetooth.letstalk.com/product...=1&model=IS Make sure you also check the quick guide pairing instructions for each phone. There seems to be an error with the K1m. Bluetooth functions say no transfer, but the quick pairing instructions says yes.
  24. Personally, I'm not a fan of the Goodyears. We've replaced many Goodyears because of the wear issue. They're even worse on the heavier RX400 hybrid. We always recommend the other tire that came on the RX330/350/400, the Michelin Energy MXV4 S8. The Michelins are just a better made tire and they're even cheaper than Goodyears at our store.
