  1. i say no tint but if you are going to tint which i assume you want to and will reguardless of what we say :P i say full tint!
  2. usually if a coil is bad you have constant bad gas smell and your car has a very hard time even moving along with a very rough idle. i will get back to you on those specs as my manual is not in reach right now.
  3. try do a search. you will find what you need. ;)
  4. using the right puller for the ball joints i think i got both front hubs off in about 1.5-2 hours. if the bearing is loose or you can wiggle the tire while the car is in the air, you may need to purchace a new inner hub(the part that goes in to the bearing) which can get costly. when you buy the parts just ask for all the seals and even get new nuts because they are only a few dollars and why not!? everything needs to be purchaced separately so have your parts guy help you out in getting everything!
  5. welcome! congrats on the steal of the year!
  6. i usually take the hub off, then take the hub to napa to have the bearing pressed out and in. usually costs about 50 bucks per side to do that
  7. for durability polyurethane is 100X better!! most aftermarket companies only make fiberglass or carbon body parts because the mold is cheap to make. urethane needs a metal mold because the plastic needs heat to form. if urethane is available then get that if there is a style to your liking. if not fiberglass is ok and easy to fix if it breaks
  8. i usually have my bearing pressed out by napa because i dont own a press. it costs like 50 bucks but you jsut take the hub to them and the bearing and they do it.
  9. if you want to help distribute the weight you can push back the engine and cut and weld in a hump in your fire wall so that it will fit. and ueno's car is fully stripped and he uses Ti bolts where ever he can so i dont think you want to use $10k on bolts but his car is light.
  10. you can buy aftermarket bushings but pressing the old ones out are a big pain!
  11. i have found that the drive wheel bearings wear out faster than the non drive. ie front wheel drive car will wear the fronts out and rear wheel will wear the rear. my rear on my SC went out at about 140k miles.
  12. you need a press but i just used to take the hub out and take it to napa where they pressed the new bearing in for me.
  13. besides controlling the engine power goes in to the ecu and also signals are sent to the trans computer.
  14. tein S techs are good. but i believe they dont offer it for the SC. i think you can measure the spring once its off the car and that will determine if the spring is bad. and if your going to change all of your suspension components change your wheel bearings too. that will make the car very smooth. did on my LS after changing every single suspension arm and bushing.
  15. if it bothers you get some new springs but if your going to get new springs why not get some lowering springs? unless your not in to that...
  16. i would stay away from it. look around for a little longer, one will pop up!
  17. before you do anything why dont you just use premium fuel...
  18. its not physically difficult but i hear that the tail light lamp in the dash turns on unless you do some wiring of some sort. try do a search!
  19. they did it when they poped in a 3uzfe in to an is200 in the uk. for a more reasonable solution you can try to see if a toyota truck trans will bolt up. but only if the tundra came with a manual trans becasue i believe they may have used the same block.
  20. yes i have! start with the tranny mount. its easy and cheaper than the engine mounts. all you need are some socket wrenches and jack stands and a jack. put the car on jackstands then jack the trans up then unbolt a few nuts and bolts and replace.
  21. you must have got an auto motor it it has a flex plate. main differences are emmissions related. you can swap heads or just the intake manifold depening if the egr goes through the head or jsut the in mani.
  22. maybe last time the coolant was drained the heater wasnt run so the valve didnt open to suck in the coolant
  23. does the car miss at all? if not i suggest checking out the engine and trans mounts.
