  2. Say what?
  3. Aha. Sounds like Seattle area is a good place to look for other IS300 parts. Cool.
  4. Your preference is fine if that's what you like. It is however a fact that color temps above 4300 or so will produce less lumens. For my purposes, lumens is where it is at. :)
  5. Do you mean a swap from the GE to a GTE?
  6. I think you need to have 20 posts before you can use these features. I tried sending you a PM and got this message. "This message can not be sent because the recipient does not have permission to use the personal messenger or their personal messenger inbox is full." However, if you have your pics hosted on another site, you could link to them.
  7. Don't go with anything that uses more than 35 watts anything higher will screw your wiring and lighting system, sooner or later. . Sure, you can find crappy bulbs at high color temps, but like the guys above have said, you won't see *BLEEP*. Also in some states you'll get busted with running with those kind of headlight. OEM are around 4000 to 4200K and after long use may go up to 4500K. Anything over 5000K on a Lexus is RICE, IMHO.
  8. Yes, this has happened to lots of people. Usually they have to take the car to Lexus, get the changer replaced and send your unit back to Lexus. When they get the CD's out, they usually send them back to the owner. It's a somewhat common problem with 2001 models. This is the bulletin on that. 9. He says it's a 1mm spot, guys. That's less than .04". Just put some extend or other treatment to stop the rust, and then use the usual touch up paint.
  10. Yeah, I bet they'd be almost as good as Yugo's. In China the government runs the factories. Think about it. Some companies are putting car factories in China so they can sell cars there.
  11. This can be difficult as the car must be converted to US spec. I think they will hold the car until the conversion and testing/inspection is complete. Here is the general info and some links to US rules. Here is a page of links to other general info on importing cars. http://www.j-garage.com/ Link to JDM exporting/importing. http://www.j-garage.com/imports.htm
  12. No it's not OEM. If you want the part number maybe call any US Lexus Dealer parts department and they will give it to you. I have the parts lists, but it doesn't include spoiler, etc.
  13. http://www.is300.net/store/customer/produc...5&cat=33&page=1 These pre-painted spoilers are a special close-out deal from our friends at Putnam Lexus. FREE SHIPPING! Retail Price: $ 395.00 Our Price: $ 289.00, save 26%
  14. That's the way the first runflats were made, and the VIP armored limo tires are still made that way, with an internal, self supporting, reinforced "tire".
  15. US cars have had amber front turn signals (and parking lights) since 1963. The rear turn signals can be either red or amber. Some people put clear lenses on their US cars, but with yellow blubs, so their cars will look more "JDM" or "Eurospec". US side markers are yellow for the front and red for the rear. Some people will also put clear side marker lenses, but must use red or yellow bulbs, again to stay legal.
  16. Looks more like a stretched and lowered SUV than a classic limo to me.
  17. Don't know about this car, but we had a joint development project with Mercedes for diplomatic limo runflat tires.
  18. whats the difference between an IS20 and the 300 we have here int he states? ← Mainly the smaller engine, and the Eurospec required stuff, I think. http://www.lexus.co.uk/specification.php?m...a=specification
  19. The ones I know of were taken apart, and coated by some individuals. Not sure about any commercial ones. Have you checked Ebay?
  20. If I was gonna do that I'd spell it Camray.

  22. If we get snow or ice here, they just close the roads. Happens maybe every 5 to 7 years. :D
  23. http://autorepair.about.com/library/recall...ecalls-177a.htm
  24. That's probably ok. wholesale $19,465 private sale $20,914 dealer retail $23,574 certified car $26,022 From http://www.edmunds.com/ used car appraisal section. I would try to buy it for $22,000. Of course if you are trading in a car, the whole deal also depends on what they give you for the trade in.
  25. Start button reminds me of the 1940 Ford my dad had. :D
