  1. That's progress. One step at a time.
  2. I think this is what you are looking for. There is a square cross section, black plastic bar between the hinges that detents, holds the door, partially open and then stops the door when it's fully open. One end of the bar goes into the door panel and the other end goes into a rubber grommet in the fender panel. If you look at the other front door you can see how it is located and how it works. According to my parts diagram this is called Check, door -- Left -- Part# 68610-53010 You may also need Bracket, door check -- Left -- Part# 68618-20030 and Pin, door check -- Left -- Part# 68617-20050 It appears this might not be a DIY job, as the door may have to be removed and disassembled to install. An online search of used auto part places might turn one up. The original price of the pin was $73 and maybe $3 for the other parts.
  3. Lots of cars will do this with a fast sorta suddend stop. The idle may just be too low. The oil light will flicker when the engine stumbles because it's getting some really low RPM. Probably not a big deal, but maybe make sure the idle is set properly. I don't think I'd go into anything really major on account of this.
  4. Check to see if you have coolant in the engine oil first. You may have some other problem.
  5. I don't think you'll find a bulb that will look whiter or blue in the DRL mode. You can increase the power to the bulbs by jumpering out the DRL resistor, and get brighter lights, but still they will not be at full high beam power. That would be illegal.
  6. The SRT intake comes with a piggyback ECU and is probably the single best bolt on mod for increased HP. http://www.swiftracing.com/ I doubt if you're really going to need fuel management unless you're going to go with turbo.
  7. There are no chips. You'll have to go with a stand alone fuel management system or a ECU piggy back module.
  8. You really need to put it on a charger and see if it will take a charge or not. Or just try a new battery. I don't know as I'd be questioning reliability of the model, as it appears to be 13 years old.
  9. LOL nice one Ever hear about that fabreeze air sanitizer? That's supposed to kill "airborne bacteria" ? since when did bacteria get wings and not us ? HAHA ← I've only seen the one for fabrics. They got houselhold ones for allergens and pet dander.
  10. Fabreez does a really good job on farts. :D
  11. Fabreeze for auto is great. I can spray my carpet and seats, leave the car overnight, and there is absolutely no smell at all next morning. Never had dog or cat pee though.

  15. Did you tell the dealer the TSB number that I quoted? They ought to fix it based on that.
  16. Hope they launch the 350 eventually...rumours of....300+ bhp? Thats an absolute cracker! ← I think they did launch the 250 and 350 at the New York show. I'm just waiting to find out the pricing. Cars probably available in the US this year in August. http://www.lexus.com/2006is_preview/index.html?s_ocid=20117
  17. A belt sander wouldn't leave swirl marks. :D
  18. Here's a link to some exhaust video/audio clips including HKS Dragger II http://www.lexusgonewild.com/norCal_v2/I6exhaustComp.htm
  19. Aren't you the same guy who complains about poor gas mileage in another thread? Why do you ask for advice, when you won't accept it? Driving around with a WeaponR at best is just plain ricer stuff. Put your stock intake back on, reset the ECU, and keep your foot off the floorboards. Listening to that "wonderful sound" and excercising that great imaginary torque and HP is pouring gas out your tailpipe.
  20. Ask your dad. :D

  24. I hadn't heard of any serious injuries while backing, unless maybe backing up on the freeway or something.
