  1. Maybe try different fonts. Some font's get really crazy when made really big like that.
  2. Please don't drink and drive. :D
  3. Some intake will do that. It's usually because they relocate the MAF and it gets a false reading, causing a CEL.
  4. Nitrogen is inert. Nitrogen in place of air will keep moisture out of the tires. Contrary to popular opinion, tire rubber is not impermeable. Tread separation in radial tires can often be traced to moisture from the air in tires, wicking it's way through the plies and corroding the steel belts. Nitrogen filling might be a way to avoid that.
  5. Thanks. Curiosity was getting to me.
  6. The advantage to dealer for auctioning the care is that, if the price meets his reserve, he gets cash for a hunk of metal that has been taking up space on his lot. He can put that money back into something that will sell. If the car gets sold, it will most likely be bought by someone who has a better market, or prospects for that type of car. The only way to verify if they are playing you is do drive down there and see if it's gone.
  7. Whatever happened with this?
  8. not that i know of, but when i was trying to remove the battery cables from the battery a second ago, the whole thing twisted and sparked.. my horn and *BLEEP* started going off. could it be the battery doing all of this?! is it possible? ← Cable insulation gone bad, shorting out on something maybe. Symptoms sound like fuel or ignition. Now it sounds like ignition for sure.
  9. JD Maltz says his USAF unit is going to head down there from Japan on Thursday. I think they'll be unloading planes and moving supplies around.
  10. We don't know. We think it's an assumption based on the color of the fluid. Thanks for your reply. ← When I had my 30,000 mile service I asked why they do a brake fluid flush and change. I had never had that done on a car before. It was explained to me it was because of the possibilty of water contamination. This agrees with what you posted earlier.
  11. The real values are what cars are actually selling for in a given area. That is the basis for the NADA books, (the ones the dealer uses). Most dealers will also lowball a trade in without any extra for a cream puff. Prices are also going to depend on time of year, the local economy and several other factors. Since many lease cars end up at auctions, the really best way to get wholesale prices is to find out what the actual auction selling prices are. Those are the real and timely numbers. The hard part is finding someone who will let you look at a weekly or monthly auction sales report.
  12. You might want to get the test kit anyway, because it may be that long before you get a decision from Lexus anyway. How did the dealership do their tests?
  13. One thing to try is to reset the ECU by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 20 minutes. This will clear the memory and then it might relearn the replacement unit you installed. It's worth a try and certainly won't hurt anything.
  14. Try tracing the wires from your high beam headlights.
  15. Bendix = solenoid/gear that engages flywheel.
  16. Might not, since turning on headlights also turns on tail lights.
  17. SRT = Swift Racing Technologies http://www.swiftracing.com/ Red = Stock Blue = SRT
  18. I might have been interested if it was a blue 400. :D
  19. There are stories of kids selling cookies, lemonade, hot chocolate, etc and donating into thousands of dollars. One kid in Vancouver selling cocoa was only 6 years old.
  20. You can do that but you'll just get bluer light, with acutually fewer lumens of light output.
  21. The DRL transformer is usually gonna be in a black box with yellow warning such as "caution hot". Unplug the wire that connects to that box.
  22. It usually doesn't make that much difference. It's really hard to time with a watch. Turn your "trac" off and try it that way.
