  1. I hope I don't see this guy driving down my street in one.
  2. Welll.....found out it was operatoritis!!!!!!!! DON'T tell anyone..it was that the bulb was put in crooked...now how in the&*&$##&* did that happen...beats me... Everything is fine now and are these 6000K AWESOME...everyone should have them, they light up the world at night...and I don't get flashed at either..CHEERS!!! ← It's easy enough to do that. You think the base is seated, when it really isn't. Best to look through the lens and see if the bulb is in correctly before clipping it in. What brand of 6000K did you get, BTW?

  4. It's a fairly common problem on O1 models. The dealer will usually fix it or swap it out. There's a TSB AU001-03 FEB 03 Audio System - CD Changer Jamming .
  5. There is a red LED on the OEM Lexus key. When you hit any of the buttons the light flashes. If you hold down on the unlock button, the key will continue to flash at a slow rate.
  6. Your new battery could still be bad. I'd think it's easier to check that first, before taking off the door panel. Also during the battery installation, something could have been shorted or a fuse blown. Have you checked all that and reste the ECU? I didn't find any TSB listed for door lock problems for 2001 IS300, so it must be rare if the sensor tab has broken.
  7. Not sure. Here are the OEM part numbers for pad sets. Front 04465-22311 Rear 04466-30161
  8. Maybe you need to go to the dealer or get the info and have your remote reprogrammed. Have you tried resetting the ECU? That might do it. It's easy enough to find out.
  9. ← I believe most of them have been replaced by Lexus at no charge.
  10. Most of them are kits that have all the stuff, but you have to take out the headlight housings and install yourself. If you buy housings with them alredy in, it's going to cost some big bucks. This guy sells kits. Not sure if he' stil active. http://www.advancedautomotiveconcepts.com/demoneyes.htm
  11. You can buy the OEM brake pads here. http://www.irontoad.com/en_US/ I've bought stuff from them and they are a reliable company.
  12. I don't know whether this would affect anything else or not.. The method I gave is the one that has been proven to work. Or if you want brighter DRL's, you can put a jumper in the female plug after you pull it from the resistor box, but the lights will still be yellowish.
  13. Yes. ← Could you tell me how, mine have always been on ever since i bought my car, and the dirty yellow color is really annoying. ← Pop the hood and look on the fender well, in front of the battery for a black box with yellow letters with a "caution hot" warning. It shoud be just in front of the fuse box. That is the device that controls the "dimness" of the DRL's. Then find the wire and plug that goes into that black box. There is only one. Press in the side of that plug and pull it apart and the DRL's should go out. You probably should then tie up that plug and also put tape over both the plug and socket openings so it doesn't get moisture inside. That should do it. It won't affect your high beams at all, and will just stop your DRL's.
  14. When and if you return, please attempt to learn to use the quote feature. It ain't rocket science.
  15. Good deal. Maybe the same problem with the IS300. I can hit the window down switch just a tap and the noise goes away. May also be going up too far.
  16. Now the only question would be why did he post it?
  17. You removed the cat and then you took the car to the Lexus shop? I'd be surprised if they'd even work on the exhaust system in that condition. Were you getting CEL's?
  18. I'm not sure what all that would be, but heated front seats would be included. Some IS300's also come with 16" wheels for snow tires, Possibly an engine block heater could be in there as well.
