  1. it might not even be a problem, if its like that in traffic... those are speeds where you go between 3rd and 4th... so its hard to tell ... depends on how bad the jerks are... if there just gradual gear change... you may not even have a problem
  2. Hard trying to figure out whats goin on with your car and saving a penny at the same time. I have figured out that the ticking sound is actually coming from my fuel injectors which is a nice thump to my pocket to replace. Ive had this tick since past 12000 miles (since ive owned this vehicle) so im not that worried about that, though it know i need to get that done. So heres the deal, When i acelerate- more so gun it , i get a nice delay. What happens is that the RPM's will actually boot up to about 3-4000 then my car will finally gun forwards. Thats so weird. I know that there cant be anything wrong with the tranny because it shifts fine. It stays at 3rd gear the longest, but im sure thats normal because it gets into 4th just fine. I read around in the other forums, im kinda confused and the mechanics are crazy. I know i need to get new spark plugs soon, but, what would cause just a delay in acceleration? I mean the engine starts Revin, why wont it move right away? Any ideas... ? Air filter, tranny service, regular oil chages... all that has been perfomed...
  3. im guessing your talking about the check engine light ? if so, then you dont need to go to the dealer and pay them 100 just to read. Go to any mechanic that can read your codes. After reading your codes hell give you a better idea about what is wrong with your car, or what to start with... Good luck
  4. nice, looks like a real clean well done job!! :)
  5. Best thing is just to get the codes read from any shop that does it... Youll have a clear idea that way....
  6. Back in business eh.... Good deal man yeah ... get that money back!!!! you didnt need to get screwed from your time and money like that!!
  7. the engine ticking noise doesnt necessesarily mean engine sludge now does it?
  8. yea, people say lots of things. Hell, people even say that about the Rx series. Ofcourse what do they know. Most of the members i see on here are all guys (no offence to the women ..jill, and others) Usually for the money, the men would prolly go for the more sportier car because ofcourse the ES isnt a performer. I think they generalize ES and cars like that as a womans car only because its more in touch with the softer side. :) People used to say that Caddies are for old men. Well... if a nice bump free touring suspension is what old men like ... Cool, but im sure there are younger crowds that own those vehicles and love them for the ride.
  9. welcome... personally because you have no maintanence recond of the car, i would have it checked out by a mechanic. Its worth the cost especially if there is something wrong with it like engine oil sludge or what not due to neglect. Those engines especially go bad if they had experienced alot of neglect. how much is it going for ? Owners ? Things to consider..... if you find a changer, thats best. If you want better sound... then youll prolly need to change out unit and all that jargon.
  10. out of line i know... but, how much does it cost to get your car overseas ? Are you going to be living in the carrebeans ? i was thinking about Med school there... thats why i ask :)
  11. often times that clunking sound is caused my faulty strut mounts. Possibly that is an issue there ?

  13. Thats terrible news! ditto what everyone said, Hope your ok! Yeah the worst thing about it is that it was a drunk person that hit you! One of those things people usually never expect to have happened to them. These things can be so unpredictable. Well at least he was cuffed! hopefully he gets good jail time.. that $%@!!!
  14. amen, unless you wanna race in a strait line :P
  15. yeah the emblems are definetely jaw dropping. I have them on my mine, and the car is black, so it looks real stealth. after im done my cars ganna be a sweet sleeper!!
  16. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2466355924 has anyone heard of these... is it crap?
  17. You right, there is nothing apparently distinct. However, inside.. the car is leathered by the Company "COACH" particularly the seats. There are Special Coach edition Wheels which are differnt than the stock rims, though same size. There is special wood trimming inside as well. also on the Coach Models.. the emblems were also a nice Gum Metal color.
  18. HaHAhaha, no kidding
  19. yes, generally you wont find many problems with people cars unless they were under some sort of neglect or normal aging
  20. Wow... seems fishy ... I dont think they really have a case though.. Has any one else experienced this ?
  21. yeah your right about that... gotta work on that when it gets warmer. as for the radiator ... i guess sooner or later ill just have to get a new one.. its getting pretty tender
  22. So i notice today some corrosion. So you know on the radiator there are 4 legs on each corner that scew on to the frame of the car. One of the legs is just ramdomly rusting and deteriorating for some reason. And just after the radiator, Looking down lower.. there is this Large black bar or rod thats there. Its real thick, hopefully someone knows what im talking about.. maybe ill post a pick. Anyways Part of that is really corroded too... i was wondering what causes that and what the large horizontal bar is ...
  23. for all those of you who have something other that OEM rotors ... how are they ... are they worth it ? ... or just stick with original ? i need some new ones.... lemme know...
  24. i havent heard of anyone who makes adapters for your cars. But there are many custom shops that will do it for you. i know a few who did it like that. Best thing is to whip out your phone book and find a few car stereo places... call around
