  1. pull your seat all the way up ... and youll see the amp most likely...... no tearing of carpets required here.... the original speakers on your car dependent upon use... should be awesome... remember they were made to work wit the amp.... And Actually you can get any ISO or DIN radio with a harness from the toyota camry to work with the amp... the speakers are all great... its the singal to the speakers that count... right now.. with the stock radio... its not enough power along side the amp... plus a weak signal..... Do this .. and it saves you a hole heck of a lotta doe plus time.... ive done this... lots of other people have to... no complains yet!
  2. yeah .... lol think about... hmm di dumdi dum... your dads walkin by... "whatchu up to son" ......then sees you put a headlight in the oven....... :chairshot: Prolly not the best situation....
  3. HeH HEH... looks like the G1 's are goin up !
  4. Hmmmm..... i guess i thought wrong.... i remember reading that somewhere though .... o well .... yeah ... the 3.3 liters should be pretty nice... But that ruins the name.... so it ganna turn into a es330.....? Not cool how come i dont have the smoked lines on the head lights.... hmmmmmm Neil
  5. hey.. if you get a toyota wire harness .... it will work it the lex.... and you wont have to rewire the speaker..... its really not worth it .... the factory amp actually does a good job in assist to the new radio youll put it.... i did it.. and it works like a charm...
  6. yup... the camry - es300 unique differenciation ended after 96.... after that and until now... you can tell clearly that the es and camry are brother and sister.... o well .. thats only exterior though... Neil
  7. are there any good sites where you can find a shifter with the o/d button ?
  8. biased... yea me too... dont worry ... but there a couple more changes between first gen and 1.5... the tranny and engine are different... and they bumped the horse power up by about 20... But all es's are great...
  9. The G1 's own .... although i wouldnt call it a g1 ... more like G 1.5 that picture seems like a 96.... and a the rims are the coach edition kinds... those own.. i have that same car.... the're more of the refined edition of the older 92-93 300's. but after that they tried changing the shape... and well.. it ended up looking da same... Just about.... actually side the side.. the 96 looked better than the 98... hmm... then ofcourse lexus messed up someone and have it a new look... the G'3 no offence to anyone who has them (cause they still own) look kinda egg like and are way too high... but the interior is great... Best all round es300? 94-96 for sure Neil
  10. Hey guys.... i was looking around for a new exhaust system for my 96 es300.... anyone have any ideas on that one? Thanks Neil
  11. yeah ... gas... :( i get screwed on that ... eh ... bout once a week.... a true bummer..
  12. also good to make sure your wheel alighnment is proper. The slightest variations can cause a pretty big difference in gas mileage...Plus it wears out your tires faster. speaking of tires.... make sure there is proper amount of pressure in your tires. Tires not at the right pressure change gas mileage too.... Neil
  13. yeah ... so im new... Name is Neil ... and im ganna start at this... if you wanna know more... i also posted a thing in the welcome topic..... Anyways, for my 96 es coach ed. i wanna replace that damn radio. So im getting this new panasonic deck... its great... however every where i inquire about installation, they dont seem to know what thier talking about. :chairshot: ... i guess the biggest issue is the amp thats under the seat.... With this AMP ... 2 questions.. 1. does the radio need to skip the amp and as a result connect directly to the speaker?? 2. or it is ok to connect to the amp...? is this possible? what have you all done? any good common places to go? Ive done my research and it seems like the best place so far is ABC warehouse ... for this install. and i know i need a adapter kit and wiring harness... any good places to get this from .. besides crutchfield ? thanks guys.... Neil
  14. by the way.... skimone.... lol..... love the Mod you got going there..... something i can defineltely afford.... :P

Drive a 96 ES Coach... its all black... with some crome edgeing, nothing serous though... cant really afford much after paying for the car itself..... love the ride though... i used to drive a buick century before... big change.... ive always wanted a lex ... that exact model... so im a pretty happy camper plans: well im a musical kinda guy... so sound system fo shou.... and well.... the car looks kinda empty without a spoiler... so that too.... and .. that all i can afford for now... anyways... im new and really dont know whats goin on around here.. so yea....
