  1. Go to Super Buy Tires.com They are the cheapest and they have a huge selection. If you have any concerns about what will fit, they can also help you out with that.
  2. Don't go to Circuit City, Best Buy, or any other major retalier. Find a locally owned car stereo shop and take your equipment and wires with you. Ask them how much it would cost to install your CD player, and run the wires for your amp. Since you have the amp kit already that saves you $40 immidiately. I had my amp kit installed for $70, yours should be around $40 since you have the wires already. The CD player will run about $40 to $50 to install. If you have any reservations about running the wires yourself..DON"T do it. You will spend even more money fixing your fried wires and maybe your electrical system in the car. Let a Pro do it if you not an experienced "Do it Yourself" person.
  3. U DA MAN. I have a 1997 ES 300 and I have always had after market head units to run my subwoofers in previous cars. In this car, I had to tap into the factory amp/subwoofer in the read deck and run RCA cables off of it. As you know, the sound is not near as clear, and bass does not hit as hard or clean. I have seen some custom installs, but I like to keep a factory look. I also have a toggle switch hidden under the dash to turn off the subs when I don't want the extra bass. You might make me get the dremmel tool out and start cutting. Were there any wiring harness compatibility issues when you hooked up the new cd player? You can email at lacey_dan@hotmail.com if you'd like to see pictures of my install.
  4. Sorry. I cannot figure out how to get to my current posts and navigate the forum yet.
  5. I have a 1997 ES300, and I tapped into the factory subwoofer on the rear deck. I could not find a dash insert to allow for an after market CD player, so that was my only option. The bass hits hard, but not as hard if I had an after market CD player.
  6. It has 80k miles on it. I have not changed the spark plugs since I bought it (74k miles). The engine runs smooth and is very responsive, it is when I let off the gas at slow speeds when the jerking occurs. Could the throttle body being dirty cause this? It acts like it won't downshift when it needs to at slow speeds.
  7. I have a 1997 ES 300, and when I am going 40-45 and let off, I get this jerking around from the transmition. This mainly occurs in traffic when I cannot keep my foot on the gas. As soon as I accelerate it goes away, but everytime I let off going slow, it is jerking me back and forth like it cannot decide to downshift. Do any of you know a fix for this? Any suggestions are much appreciated!
  8. I have a 1997 es300 and mine jerks around when I am going 40-45 and then let off the gas. when I try to accelerate again I get the same jerking, unless I really punch it. This mainly occurs in traffic when you cannot consistantly accelerate. Do any of you know of a fix on the 1997 ES 300 for this problem. Any comments are appreciated!
