  1. i have a 18 speed mt. bike with a lexus sticker on it. beat that
  2. read some faq's and do some search's to catch the gist on what you can expect to go wrong with your car. Assuming your right.. and the car was well taken care of i wouldnt worry about that. Since you have a 93, they have a few radiator issues which cause the car to over heat and damage and engine/gaskets if your not careful. that should give u a good start on what to read for.
  3. you got it, although i wouldnt wait all the way until your timing belt breaks.
  4. what did you have to take yours apart for ?
  5. it was about a 15 days process where they tear apart your core and custom the wheel in which ever way your request(in most cases). the service was real good there and people were real nice to talk to and they made everything clear before doing anything. $451. i had sent them sample of the marble wood currently on the dash and they just matched that
  6. damn, im scared. ill post pics of it when im done.
  7. I had ended up obtaining a junked camry steering wheel which was then shipped to American Stitches for Marble wood and leather coating to match my interior dash. I have just gotten the completed wheel in today and it looks amazing. Now i was wondering if has any good directions on how i could remove the current wheel and air bag cover so i can fit my new one in ?
  8. i dont doubt it at all. Those tires are much thinner. But u doubt that the ride is dettered to the point where it makes it drastic. They should have had larger tires on the 17's.
  9. i think they look a bit too small for the 02 and up models. There wheel base is very large and the wheels dont quite match up. the 05 models have the 17's, a much better look. Did you shoot your ride quality at all? I doubt its much of a difference with 17's
  10. gorgous mate. Your Newer style wheels complement very well. i ve not been fan of the two tone very much, but i must say those wheels actually make the 2 tone look really cool !
  11. low miles, thats nice! Call your local lexus dealer, or go there and nicely ask them what kinda of things were performed on your car. With the VIN number lexus can look in their national data base. This is ofcourse if the work was done @ a dealership. As for the rough ride, one cant say without driving it. To start, its probably your struts as they are 77000 miles worn most likely and 9 years old.
  12. totally not worth it. 5 grand for the car. 4-6 G's for the repairs easy i think. a 97 model, being with 150000 miles has been driven enough to get major service costs. These cars have a history of engine guelling (when neglected) . In the end... youll throw more into it that what its worth. you prolly dont want a 92-93 if you can get a 94 and up. the pinned faq's from SK have what you wanna know about the look outs and concerns with those years. later
  13. metaspace, they do soften up a bit. They are real nice struts. 142 is a steal
  14. HAPPY Bday SKPERFORMANCE :) ← HAPPY B-DAY SK , mine too !!! ← not at all aweful... i have it.. and its great for me. Almost one year since ive had them.. driven regulaly. I think that its a bit misconcepted that people think tokicos are that stiff.
  15. weather you have adjustable suspension... will be dependant on if you have the control for AVS in your cabin. if not.. then you dont have an adjustable suspension. KYB will keep your stock soft ride. Tokiko's will give you better, stiffer handling couple with a semi soft ride. for my 1st gen i noticed the ride is still nice and smooth over bumps.. less the bouncy suspension.
  16. What an ignorant comment. Totally uncalled for. Any one would be curious/worried if thier car wasnt performing as it should. :chairshot:
  17. not completely true. I have LS 400 wheels. Perfect fit
  18. for motor oil, i use the sythetic Mobile 1. For the tranny i just used the normal fluid. So you use amsoil synthetic? How is it any better than normal dex III ?
  19. yeah, the metallic i think looks best on white where you cant see those individual granules too well, but it enhances the reflectivity of the white paint. Similarly, i think the lighter the color, the better metallic paint looks. I saw this dark red escalade the other day which had the metallic granules which glared out pink. Bright graphics complemented with ugly 24' spinners. So along with my distaste for dubs, bright graphics, nasty wings...etc... metallic paint is becoming a turn off. I respect others indivdual tastes, but beauty has its limits.
  20. the car is currently in jet black mode. The paint has been been kept very well since ive had the possesion of this car. However, because i was not the owner of this car for the previous 5 or so years it has been through some degree of neglect. the car has gotten a new body kit and other various modifications done to it. In the process of putting on the body kit, i was contemplating just getting it repainted. Jet black is my preference as well after looking back at pictures of my car when it was waxed. !! I really need a few areas repainted anyways, as my granpa backed into the rear left quarter panel of the car and exposed the metal there. and there are various key marks, few nicks, and little fine oxidation occuring on the hood. there is also damage on the door where it was vadalized a year back. its not as bad as it sounds actually, But im a fanatic of perfection..... well kinda :whistles:
  21. I couldnt decide which i like better so i thought id ask how you all feel? Current 96 Es300 is all jet black, and i do love it...but it needs work cause there are lots of imperfections throughout. I either want Jet black again, or the metalic black. Hard decision. What do you all like ?
