  2. Sorry, Don. How about these suggestions?
  3. Well I was told there is nothing that can b done, & any fix is only temporary. Very frustrating. I drove a 1995 ls400 for 20 yrs & never a problem. It’s so frustrating listening to these brakes make that noise
  4. If your iPhone is functioning well with the car you could do this:
  5. Funny I should come across this post today - I pulled fuse 22 (7.5A) this afternoon to stop that annoying dashboard light. The hidden push button by the driver’s right knee didn’t do the trick. I’m very happy with stationary headlights.
  6. Have you checked to see if any dealerships within say, a 500-mile radius has the vehicle you wish to buy? When we reserved our RX400h, we had to wait one year. Of course, it was well worth the wait.
  7. All you will need is 4 new tpms I will not provide those. I will be providing tpms adapter strap. Good deals. 9. Malfunctioning Drivers Window Dear Fellow Lexus Owners, I have an 01 Lexus ES300. The drivers side window is malfunctioning in the automatic mode after I had the window regulator replaced. When I click the window control for automatic closing, The window automatically closes and then comes back open, about 6 inches. I have to close the window a little at a time to fully close it. Does anyone else have this problem? What is the solution?
  10. So I have to get your opinion on this. Took it to get gas yesterday but did not make it. would not accelerate past 25 mph with foot to the floor. turned around and took it home. Idle in neutral down to 500 rpm. Rev engine several times and it will go to 5k. Noticed smoke coming off the engine. turned off and looked under car. exhaust pipe on drivers side bright cherry red for about 2 feet starting at engine. Any thoughts? It has 2 coils, one for each side of the engine. I'm hoping it just lost a coil and unburned gas is getting in the exhaust pipes. But of course, the coil on the drivers side is nearly impossible to get to without removing the battery. I'm really getting tired of working on this car. Any thoughts? Please don't tell me plugged cat. converter, that would be the end.
  11. Hello- I've driven an LX470 2001 for years and love it, just upgraded to same rig, just a 2002 with fewer miles. I picked car up yesterday from the transport driver and front screen says: 'NO DISC DETECTED." It doesn't allow me to hit "I Agree" and move forward to any options. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm waiting to hear back from seller who's on East coast for his experience on this. I've watched some complex YouTube video about pulling out the Nav box from under the passenger seat. Is there anyone who can give this gal advice. I live in a rural area and I'm not taking it to the local Toyota dealership if I can fix this myself. Thank you so much!

I recently bought a 2015. Took quite a while to find a low mileage one. There were lots of 2007 to 2013 low mileage units cheap, but I wanted to get one of the last 2 or 3 years of production for longterm ownership. I think there are enough improvements to warrant waiting to find a newer ones.
  14. Thanks for the postings. I am having the similar experience with my 2023 RX350h. Initially, the ringing noise was hard to hear. But once you hear it, it was pretty annoying. I brought the car in to the dealership three times in the first month and the mechanics just couldn't or refused to hear it. Now, the noise is getting louder that radio couldn't cover it. Plan to bring it back in to the dealership.
  15. I have similar problem. I replaced the radiator electric fan because one the fan motors (passenger side) melteed the plastic shroud and left the fan motor hanging.i replace the electric fan and alternator started makong a noise the died. I replaced the alternaor but when i reconnected the battery it blew out alternator120 amp fuse. I replaced the fuse and reconnected the battery, positive first and then i connected the the negative, the terminal melted part of the negative post and blew the alternator 120 amp fuse again. My question is it a bad ground and if so where? Could it be that a bad ground or short caused the electric fan motor to burn through plastic shroud? How do i find the bad ground or short if i can't connect the battery?
  16. Just wanted to add that the ride height sensor for the gx470 is also used on many early 2000's lexus/toyota vehicles as a sensor for determining the headlight position, even though it's often not cross referenced. I used one from an 04 Prius that has worked fine. Many of the below vehicles are far easier to find in a self service salvage yard than a gx470 Application: Compatible with Lexus ES330 2004-2006 V6 3.3L Sedan Compatible with Lexus ES300 2001-2003 V6 3.0L Sedan Compatible with Lexus IS300 2001-2005 V6 3.0L Wagon/Sedan Front; Rear Compatible with Lexus RX330 2004-2006 V6 3.3L Sport Utility Rear Right AWD Compatible with Lexus RX330 2004-2006 V6 3.3L Sport Utility Rear FWD Compatible with Lexus RX350 2007-2008 V6 3.5L Sport Utility Rear Right AWD Compatible with Lexus RX350 2007-2008 V6 3.5L Sport Utility Rear FWD Compatible with Lexus RX400h 2006-2008 V6 3.3L Sport Utility Compatible with Toyota Tacoma 2005-2008 L4 2.7L Pickup Compatible with Toyota Tacoma 2005-2008 V6 4.0L Pickup Compatible with Toyota Prius 2004-2009 L4 1.5L Hatchback Compatible with Mazda RX-8 2004-2008 R2 1.3L Coupe Front; Rear OEM Number: 89405-48020, 89406-53010, 89407-48010, 89407-48030,89408-47010, 924-755

  19. In 1984 we were sleeping in the hotel next to track while they were warming up to Le Mans. Did not stay to see it though. Later we went to Estoril and the hotel there invited us to see the training, when we asked from where the engine noise was coming. Not smart that Toyota number 7 bumps into the Lexus GT3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOSkcMLg_Gc This Toyota is maybe the 2026 Lexus for Le Mans: https://www.lexus.eu/discover-lexus/experience-amazing/performance/motorsport
  20. Your rotors got overheated and warped. Usually happens to the front rotors first but the rear rotors are not immune either. I just replace the rotors nowadays - even cheap knockoff brand new rotors, are usually the more satisfactory solution than having them cut.
  21. Hello all I was looking into some LS400 rims and not finding a lot I like. Lots of people go for modern looking but rims and angular rims, but I’m a fan of something simple. I really like the 1552 tarmac rally wheels, or some sort of basket weave look. But I’d like to run 16 inch rims and I was hoping to find 10.5 rims for rear just to handle some more power down the road, and possible 8.5s in front? Does anyone have any opinions on this or wheel recommendations? I can’t find any 16x10.5 wheels I like. I’ve heard ride quality gets really bad when you go above stock rim size and I’d like to mainline ride quality to be decent at least while still being able to take lots of power to the ground. Does anyone with big rims have bad ride quality?
  22. This is so strange. Can anyone else with a 2008 year model confirm or deny that this feature is actual a real thing? Maybe I really AM making it all up in my head! O_0
  23. For a P0418 that’s gonna be relay one, I suggest getting a pump proxy pack from Hewitt-Tech to close the circuit on your broken pump. You should initially check the fuse for it first to save you the hassle of having the buy the PPP.
  24. When I put my car in reverse and let off the brakes slightly, the brakes squeal very loud. It only happens when It is in reverse when going very slow- backing out of my garage for example. I've had the brakes replaced but it still happens. Does anyone else have this problem or know anything about it ??
