  1. the manifold is different the y pipe is different and the cat is different as well as the egr system that connects to the rear manifold. It would be easier with a 1mz-fe engine as well as at least a 95-96 modle as even the 94 is different
  2. yup it just controls the flow of air through the rad and under the car for wind resitance
  3. wow this thread is getting long. Just to summarize this whole conversation. MB is saying it is ok to use green coolant. Monarch says it is harmful or not recommended both agree the long life by toyota is good or the same. So for a few dollars why not just stick with the OEM sold and originally recommened fluid? I am all for change when it comes to making a drastic improvment . But if there is none......then why? I didn't buy a Lexus to be cheap about it. I am also the biggest tightass over money but i always give my cars the best i can.
  4. I don't doubt anything anyone is saying about it working. Just with many ES 300's having overheating problems usually all have green coolant.
  5. 1.SKperformance,green 1994 ES300 will meet at krispey kreme 1st to drive down 2.Lexusfreak 2001 ES300 3. SilverGS, Alpine Silver 1999 GS400 (misssisauga)
  6. If you are talking about the subframe then NO It holds the engine inside the cars engine bay. Without it the engien will drop out . But is it metal or plastic?
  7. Check sam's club they have some pretty good prices on michelin hydro edge which is a very nice tire. Also try wheels direct in Scarborough
  8. ONe other thought most people over look when bleeding a system is to move the piston back into the caliper and lock it in place .This keeps any air from hiding behind the piston which then would not get bleed.
  9. No need to start the car as you want to stabilize the booster pressure. Funny enough i learned in college to follow the service manuals according to the brake proportioner. Which usually was closest then the furthest away on the same lines of the proportioner. Basically it will help stabilize pressure if the car breaks a brake hose by losing only 2 wheels instead of all 4 in the case of a leak. It usually keeps the front left and rear right as one channel and the other 2 as the other pair. I always started at the closest to the master cylinder as to remove as much old fluid as possible eaiest before pump new fluid throught the lines. So basically the driver left ,then rear right ,then front right and rear left.
  10. some times good thing happen to good people. or you get lucky . It is always nice to fix something unexpectedly especially for free.
  11. There is a product called plastic polish from meguires It does wonders in removing hard to remove stubborn stains.

  13. As redoing it again for this sunday,it might be easier to give everyone more notice again as the rain date was never firmed up in the first place. As toyotanation usually meets on the last saturday of the month i think it would be nice to have a meet before theres so if anyone is interested in going would be able to stay. So my suggestion is to have our meet 2 hours before at 6 pm that way it is a lexus only meet that would still have a large amount of owners and alwys worth while to stay as there last meet had well over 40 cars on saturday with an LS 400 ,4 IS 300 and 3 ES 300's. That would be Saturday May 29th at 6 pm in Scarborough right beside the 401 at Kennedy in the tim hortons parking lot. We could also make it a caravan for Mississauga members wo aren;t sure were it is by leaving Krispey Kreme at 5:15pm so we could take moving pictures (especially thoses with chrome wheels) as they look so nice.

  15. Green can work but mixing it known to have fall out. As well as many 92-93 Es 300's having overheating problems especially when they have green coolant. I buy lexus coolant ,i see no need to change it to a lower boiling point as it is a minimal price difference and i prefer to keep my car with at least the minimums it was engineered with and nothing less. this is going to be another long tread filled with opinions, a dealer says many things most make sense and some don't.
  16. They usually only yellow when they are parked outside all the time ,as in Japan or when not waxed frequently. Plastic hazes but can be removed glass cracks and needs to be replaced
  17. I disagree but everyone has an opinion to me it came with red and it stays with red
  18. 20's the most 19 is nice but 18 is perfect
  19. how do you plan on making it widebody with only 1/2 and inch in the rear fender before it meets the fold for the door? Unless you cut your door also as well as move the locking mechanism ?
  20. to keep it quiet as possible keep all the piping from the cat to the resonator as there are no bends and it keeps it quiet change the rear pipe form the resonator as it is crushed at its bends to free up a few ponies the muffles is all up to what you want and price as well as what is available in your area. what work have you done?
  21. EGR runs really hot air so it will leave a dry soot but nothing that is gummy as it would burn it up
  22. kyb makes the original oem ones also just softer valving for the oem over KYB marked ones
